Green, Purple And Gold Animal Print

Hi all. Happy Sunday.

Not taking part in Adventures In Stamping this weekend as I haven't got a clue what to do for it!

These were meant to post yesterday but after having a lush little trip to Seahouses (clicky here) on the Friday  & Saturday and seeing Despicable Me 2 as soon as I got back into Newcastle there was no way I had the energy to do anything but be lazy and snug.

I did these the start of May which is crazy! I loved wearing these though, and they were were definitely more interesting to look at in real life as the stripe of flakies shifting colour broke up the nail completely.

Above is two coats of the gorgeous Mauve Suede, I could have got away with just the one if I was more careful about coverage. Below is two coats that has a little of hand lotion on so it's not as matte as it normally is.

And for good measure he's a couple pictures from Friday night when myself and Amy were running along the beach like loons trying to catch the sunset!

Hope you've all had a great weekend like I have!

W7 - Silver Suede Swatch

Hi all!

Hope you're having a good week so far. I'm trying to make more time to edit photos, and go through the backlog I have of photos to create posts, but I keep getting distracted! It also doesn't seem like it's going to be a quiet weekend either!

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: W7 - Silver Suede (2 coats)

For those of you that remember my swatches of W7 - Night Suede, this is another colour from that line. Now, Night Suede I fell in love with, totally. I started using it all the time, and I still paint my nails with it before filing down length and shaping as one coat is pefectly opaque, and dries almost instantly.

Silver Suede is the same kind of perfection. There are a few brush strokes in these pics but thats because I was painting my nails with a cat in my lap, so trying my best to keep the fumes away from Cheese's face!

That's all for now pretties. I'll be back over the weekend with some stamping ^-^

Bright Gradient & Golden Bolts

Hi again my pretties!

I hope you're all well, today I have a mani I did about a month back now, the sun had just started coming out and it made me really fancy sporting a pink toned gradient.

I would try and make out like I didn't want to do the gradient super-smooth and seamless, but the truth is I did these in bad lighting, and pretty much was falling asleep. That being said, I do love what a bit of stamping hides!
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: W7 - Pink, P2 - Passion, Models Own - Raspberry Crush
Stamping Colour: Barry M - Gold Foil

Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails

And here's a shot of the base:

Hope you're all having a good Tuesday. I'll be at work when this posts, then afterwards I'll be on my way to see Man Of Steel. Henry Cavill in a tight fitting Superman get up; uh yes please!

Fake Tattoos Nail Tattoo Review

Happy Wednesday guys :]

Today I have a post reviewing some nail tattoos that I was kindly sent to try out a while back now. I've yet to do more than this one mani with them, but I will definitely be trying out the others from the packet when I get a chance.

These nail tattoos are from a company called Fake Tattoos and like the large selection of tattoos they offer on their site, these can be used on the body too.

On to the mani I created with some of these fake tattoos, and I will show you what else they sent, and wht you can expect to see in the future.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Barry M - Lychee
Two Coats Of: Sally Hansen - Pink Rose Diamond
Polka Dots: Kiko - Jewel Pink
Tattoos: Fake Tattoos
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
With Flash
As you can see the holographic sparkle shines through the bow a little which I really like.

Here's what they sent me:
I think next I'll try the moustaches, or the owls! There's so much detail in those owls!
And here's the nude holographic base I created using Barry M - Lychee & and two coats of Sally Hansen - Pink Rose Diamond. I've always wanted a holographic nude so I'm quite happy with this!

The tattoos were really easy to use. I messed up the first one on a thumb by soaking the paper before it was on the nail (don't ask me why I decided to go about things backwards!) but after trimming the paper around the image pressing it to the nail (the tattoos like all other temporary tattoos are a little tacky) then soaking the paper these work an absolute dream! So easy to use, and like water decals and stickers pretty much dry instantaneously.

Have you ever tried using these kind of nail tattoos?

**These were sent to me for consideration of reivew**

I'm Baaaaaaaack!

Hi hi all my lovelies!

I've been gone a while now (a month exactly) and while I'll give you pretties more info in a minute, I just want to take this time to say that I'm back!

Although I would have wanted my first post back to be epic nails I haven't had much time recently to do my nails, take photos, or edit them. I have continued to do my nails when I could and will be showing you those soon. I also have quite a few reviews coming up (some I should have posted before taking a break!).

So; my break from blogging wasn't actually meant to be a break at all. I had so much going on with being back to working full time and running around stressing arranging documents for HR, a whole week went by where I hadn't blogged, thought about blogging, did my nails, and had only turned the laptop on once. When it dawned on me that it had been a week and I hadn't even realised; I thought maybe I should take another week to prepare some posts or relax and maybe get some things sorted. That week turned into a month almost by mistake. During that time I contemplated giving up blogging as I felt that I perhaps could no longer do it justice with working full time. Realising I would really miss it so much I decided to get back on it and do the best I could to post as much as I can.

In this month out I've gotten my work contracts sorted (two part time permanent contracts between psychology and neuropsychology) so this is the first time I've not had to worry about if i'll be working next month, which is such a nice relief! Despite the fact it means getting used to a new working environment, new people, and a lot a lot a lot of technical medical terms, I'm starting to settle in.

Not gonna lie; In this month break I've totally been living it up, going out drinkies after work to chill, dinners out, seeing friends I haven't in ages and general awesome things like shooting cans again and exploring the lovely Prudhoe with a slightly crazy guy. So I feel it was a much needed break.

And that is my essay over!

My aim is to post twice a week, once during the week, and then hopefully on Sundays, back to taking part in Adventures In Stamping! Hope you'll all be glad to see me knocking around again, cause I sure am glad to be back, to be more inspired, and to have bought like 20 polishes in the last month :P
