Pink, Flakies & Reptile Skin Water Decals

Hi all! Happy Thursday!

I so cannot wait for the weekend to come around, my last amount of time off I spent doing preparation for my assessment, and writing up a butt-load of stuff for my interview, not had an alarm free day at all! So this weekend I'm gonna get up when my body tells me to, and be all super organised with the blog :]

These are from a few weeks ago now, and something about them screams 90's to me. Maybe it's the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air colour theme.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Essie - Tour De Finance
Flakies: Golden Rose Scale Effects ( I can't remember the number!)
Water Decals: WDBLE974
Top Coat: Rimmel 60 Seconds Clear

These were sent to me to review what seems like an age ago now, but I just didn't know how to use the sheet. They're from KKCenterHK which sell a huge amount of nail art goods, as well as other things like eye lashes. What I will say is that the comic water decals I've used here, here, and here, were a lot easier to work with, and when handled loads they didn't start to tear unlike these this type. Though I did faff on a bit trying to get them centered. You can buy this reptile skin sheet water decal from here.

Anyways, these were super easy. Base coat, flakie coat, and then I used craft scissors to cut the water decal into zig-zag strips before using them.

Batman Nails

Hi all! Happy Birthday to me!

I say this sounding upbeat because Cheese is home, and seems alright. We've still got to watch her, and make sure she's acting normal (so far she is) but she's got to stay in the house for a week, so all morning every now and then you can just her; a very annoyed Cheese growling at the door :P

Thank you all for your comments yesterday.

So yes, these are the nails I did for seeing The Dark Night Rises. Using more of the water decals I got sent to try at the start of the year from KKCentreHK.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colours: Rimmel - Black Satin (2 coats)
Index, Middle, & Pinky: Barry M - Black Multi Glitter (1 coat)
Batman Decal: KKCentreHK - WDDC061
Gold Glitter: Sinful Colors - Paris
Top Coat: Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard As Nails

Nice shot of Barry M - Black Multi Glitter

So it was only when I was editing these photos I realised the Batman waterdecal was slighty off centre. But they looked fine in person I think. On my thumb I wore Rimmel - Black Satin, the glitter gradient with Sinful Colors - Paris & then had a Batman water decal too, as I had enough room for it not to look weird.

The Flash Nails Using KKcenterHk Water Decals

So on Tuesday I showed you some water decals that I was sent for review from KKcenterHk. Today I will be showing you the second idea I had when selecting the comic style water decals. Again I used WDDC061 for these :]

Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: Barry M - Bright Red
Sponged Colour: OPI - Wocka Wocka
White: Sally Hansen - White On
Water Decals: From KKCenterHk
Top Coat: Models Own - 3 In 1
I started with the base of Bright Red, and then sponged on Wocka Wocka to try and give it that costume feel. I used the center of a hole reinforcement sticker to paint on a white circle, and then with a small brush I did another layer of polish to try and make the circle slightly larger.

Really though, any time I hear "The Flash" all I think of is The Big Bang Theory, and Sheldon being hyped up on coffee :D Keeping in mind I sometimes run about the house when possibly hyper on coffee saying "Zoom zoom zoom"... Don't judge me, I like acting like a big kid behind closed doors! :P

Superman, Supergirl, Nails. KKcenterHk Water Decal Review

So a while back I was contacted by Maggie from KKcenterHk about reviewing some water decals, I immediately said I would love to, but it took me a little longer to figure out which style water decals I would like to try as they have so many! After narrowing it down to something like 10 designs, I finally decided on these, and these.
Here we have WDBLE974 and WDDC061
I was so, so intrigued to get my hands on these ones as I'd never seen metallic water decals before. And as soon as I seen the designs my mind started racing with ideas of what mani's I could do! These retail for USD$6.39, or just under £4.
So Shiny!
I cut off the designs I was going use, and them placed them in a shot glass of water. I used tweezers to peel off the design and place it on my nail, patting off excess water with my finger making sure there were no bubbles under the design. I them patted off the nail with a piece of tissue, and continued with the other nails before adding a top coat to seal the decal in. These are unlinke any water decals I've used before, they didn't feel like they were going to break after I peeled them off the backing paper, which has been my experience in the past. I loved these nails, and so did my boyfriend :]
