Miss Sporty - Raindrops, Silver Stamping And Green Dots

Hey all! Happy Thursday! :]

I'm slowly but surely catching up on swatching or using my untrieds. Today we have a gorgeous teal, which has such a good formula; Miss Sporty - Raindrop. Since getting this polish at the start of June I've had it on my toes about three times. and on my fingers twice.

Today I'm showing you what I wore for a few days a few weeks back. I started with Raindrop, Stamped with China Glaze - Millennium, and dotted the centre of the images with Models Own - Slate Green.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Miss Sporty - Raindrop
Stamp Colour: China Glaze - Millennium
Dot Colour: Models Own - Slate Green
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM213
Top Coat: Rimmel 60 Seconds - Clear
Here's a swatch shot of raindrop, there's some marks in the finish cause I'd painted them before bed, but usually this has a nice glossy finish to it :]

Hope you're all having a good day =]

Lucy's Nails - Gradient & Stamping

Quick post today. I was all organised for posts and having photos blog-ready weekend before last, and then some how things snuck up on me again! But it's almost the weekend, and I shall be good, and organised :]

Here are some nails I did for my.. Niece-In-Law? I don't know. Brothers Girlfriend's Niece :P She already knew what kind of thing she wanted when it came to the gradient, and then went through my plates to pic out some stamps.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Essence - Speed Of Light Blue
Gradient Colours:  Marks & Spencers - Unkwnown Mini
                            George - Hoax
                            China Glaze - Frostbite
Stamping Colours: China Glaze - Millennium
                            BYS - Black Satin
Image Plates: Bundle Monster BM316, BM314, BM311
Top Coat: Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard As Nails

On her little finger she had more silver stars, and on her thumb a silver pheonix - or is it a tropical bird? Anyways, I hope she liked these ^-^

Anyhoo I hope you're all having a good Friday!

Using Silver, Bronze Or Gold - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi all!
Bit of a delay in the post today, but I shall tell you about that later. This week's challenge for Adventures In Stamping sort of snuck up on me (only doing the nails today on sunday) so I had to quickly decide on what to do. And when I really thought about it I realised I knew exactly what I wanted to do, and what with :]
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Miss Sporty - Unkown, I thought It was Fatal Black..
Stamping Colours: Miss Sporty - Electric Beige
Barry M - Gold Foil
China Glaze - Millennium
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM315
Top Coat: Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard As Nails
In real life the colour difference is more noticeable, and maybe i'll have a look through other photos and add a better one in at some point. For a swatch (although old and bad:P) go here.

Here's what I used:

So I was all ready to write this post up about 2 hours ago, but then the weather went wild. At first I was happy as I like storms, especially when I'm in the house, I was just about to make a hot chocolate (sad I know) and then It went downhill.

First I went running around the garden to see if my cat Cheese had been locked in the greenhouse, as she wasn't in the house. She wasn't in there but there were a couple leaks that were pouring, so I stuck out some empty tubs. By the time I ran back to the house with a huge umbrella I was soaking wet, but Cheese was in the house now all safe and sound, so it was all gravy. That is, until I went into my room, and saw the window leaking water everywhere! So yeah I sorted all that out, and moved all electrical bits and bobs away from the splash zone. Now the rain wouldn't hurt you with its sheer force if you went outside, and the water level isn't almost up to the top step of the front door anymore, so there's not so much panic in the house.

So, now I'm back to writing this post, but in the kitchen instead. Fingers crossed it won't rain heavier ;( This is also why there's only one picture of my mani, and lack of time to edit, but also because for the worst part of the down pour, it looked like it was night time outside lol.

I hope you lot are having a nice Sunday to make up for mine! :]

Half Moon & Holly

These are actually similar to what I wore last Christmas; on the day. Although it wasn't a half moon mani, it was just Sally Hansen - White On, with Maybelline - Ice Princess, and the holly stamped, with.. who knows; cause that's a long time ago :P

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: Rimmel - French Rose &  Sally Hansen - White On
Glitter: Maybelline Colorama - Ice Princess
Silver Line: China Glaze - Millennium
Stamp Colours: George - Meteorite & Rimmel - Celebrity Bash
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM14 (Original Set)
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

Just to show why I'm ever faithful to this glitter for my micro glitter needs xD

So I started with two coats of Rimmel - French Rose, and used hole reinforcement stickers to create the half moon shape when French Rose was dry. Then I painted Sally Hansen - White On, and removed the stickers while the polish was still wet. Next a coat of Maybelline Colorama - Ice Princess, and when that was dry I stamped the Holly using Bundle Monster plate BM14, and George - Meteorite, & Rimmel - Celebrity Bash. Originally I was going to paint the half moon line with my Gold Citadel Paint but now I'm glad I couldn't find it, as I think it might have looked god awful :P So I used China Glaze - Millennium, and finished with my usual top coat.

I only needed one coat of White On, with touch up to only one nail. Which is a surprise as normally I need 2-3 coats for full nail coverage. At the start of this bottle I only needed 2 coats for full opacity, but as it's getting older, and emptier it's getting a little harder to work with. Even though I've thinned it once or twice already. So having two coats of a faster drying French Rose must really help.

Essence Grand Plié In Black & Chrome Spider Web Tips

I trimmed my nails the other day and decided they would be a good length to do some Halloween stamping, and this is what I did. They're so simple but were quite fun to wear because of the contrast between the black and the bright silver chrome goodness xD

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Essence - Grand Plié In Black
Stamp Colour: China Glaze - Millennium
Plate: BM13
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

Grand Plié In Black Is a three coater because of it's jelly base, when i was wearing it I couldn't help wishing there was more glitter, but looking at the photos I actually like how sparse it is. Though there is some my camera didn't pick up.

Galaxy/Nebula Nails

I've been wanting to do these for some time now but I never got around to it, but with the 31 day challenge there's been a lot more Galaxy nails recently and I fell in love with the look all over again.

I love the way these turned out (although I do wish I'd left a bit more black visible, and chilled out with the dots a bit xD) But for my first try they're not half bad, and so sparkly ^_^

Here's What I Used (L-R)
Nail Rx - Stuck On You Base Coat, Essence - Grand Plié In Black, Nubar - 2010, China Glaze - Millennium, Sally Hansen - White On, Matalan G - Sangria, Manhattan - Lemonade, Deborah - Turquoise Fever,
Rimmel - Disco Ball, Maybelline Colorama - Ice Princess, China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
.
And Ice princess being stunning :]

P2 Pink It Up Chrome Zebra Konad

Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: P2 - Pink It Up
Stamp Colour: China Glaze - Millennium & N.Y.C. - Foil For You
Plate: Konad M57
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
And a quick swatch pic. This is one of the polishes that I won in a giveaway, the formula is so so good. It goes on so smooth and perfect the chrome actually had a bit of a problem sticking. From now on I think before stamping with a chrome polish I'm going to do a thin base coat over the colour to help it stick.

Purple Heart Damask

I'll start off by saying I had such a hard time trying to capture all the colour flashes in this polish. It flashes purple, and green, and it's just so drool worthy - couldn't stop looking at my hands. and the formula's amazing, I had no problems at all with dragging, balding, and it was perfect in two coats.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Gosh - Purple Heart
Stamp Colour: China Glaze - Millennium
Plate: BM20
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

You can see the warm purple more here, than post Bundle Monster

Millennium!

So I had been looking for a good Silver for stamping, for a while.
And fell in love with China Glaze Millennium.
But all I could find was from America, and I think if I was to buy something and it was broken on delivery; I'd cry. I really would.
But then there was one on Ebay from a UK seller.

So I had to buy it. And Lordy the formula is amazing! It dries so quickly! And it stamps like pure mirrory goodness.

2 coats, no topcoat
The amazing thing is, this was taken on a horrible overcast day!
And it's still so shiny!
A con for me would be how it shows every little scratch and mark on the nail.
However, after a top coat you really can't tell at all.
