Summery Pastel Paisley

Hi all.

I can't quite believe it's Sunday already - especially as I wanted a chill weekend, and made no plans for Saturday. But I got quite a lot of little to-do items done :]

These nails are from a couple of months back now, after having a few really nice warm days I started just reaching for summery colours, especially pastels.

For this look I patted a purple, yellow, peach and blue over white, and then stamped, I feel like there may have even been a green crellie in there somewhere but I can't remember!
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: Rimmel - White, Models Own - Peach Sherbert, Blueberry Muffin & Banana Split, Spoiled - Amethyst
Stamping Colour: BYS Black Satin
Image Plate: Konad M64
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

Hope you've all had a nice weekend, I'm going to go and stuff my face with tasty food & probably go and watch the new Transformers movie :]

White Dogtooth over Multicoloured base

Hi all. Happy Wednesday. I say that knowing that there's only one and half days left to work! Can't wait for a little break!

Today I have some more "sandwich bag" method where you dab colours onto your nail and use plastic to gently mix the colours. Unfortunately for me, I didn't re watch the video, or do any googling before I tried this, and I actually mixed the colours on the plastic, and then transferred to the nail, which seems a lot messier than the original idea. After trying this method out for these nails I wanted to do a more purple and teal mix.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Rimmel White
Other Colours: Sally Hansen - Fairy Teal, Color Club - Hydrangea Kiss, Beauty UK - Jelly Bean & W7 - Pink
Image Plate: Konad M65
Stamping Colour: Konad Special White
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

And here's the base before stamping.

I like the way these turned out, so I'm going to try it again, perhaps even the "right" way so I don't get covered in excess polish!

Have a good day!

Purple Gradient with Pink and White Stamping

Hi all

Yay Thursday! Almost the weekend! Sorry again for the lack of posts recently I really feel like I have zero energy when I'm home after work, and all I want to do on the weekend is relax!

These nails aren't really as good as they should have been, but I think that has something to do with the image plate itself. I think It may been etched too deeply, I think I need to maybe get in contact with Cheeky and see about getting a handful of plates replaces. I'm not having much luck :(

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: Collection 2000 - Angel Wings & Beauty UK - Jelly Bean
Stamping Colours: Konad Special - White & Psyche Pink
Image Plate: Cheeky CH50
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
See what I mean about the image? There's meant to be lines between all petals, and the ends are meant to be pointed like Cherry Blossom, and it just didn't really work at all :( These did look really quite fun from arms length though as the colour combo was nice and bright.

Here's a couple pictures of the base gradient:

Well that's all from me today. Hope you're all having a good one :]

2true Crystal Nail Polish Review

Hi all! Happy Saturday!

At the start of December I was approached with the opportunity to review some nail polishes for a company called 2true. 2true is a UK brand and you can find out more about them and their products here. You can buy their products in any Superdrug store and online.

I was sent 6 polishes to review, and today I have the first three for you. which are all Crystal nail polishes. These dried in a good time, and have an incredible shine to them. The formula is foil, lovely multicoloured sizes of foil flecks, that give the finished look a little hint of duochrome without a wild shift in colour.

First up is Miami (Shade 7)
This is two coats, no top coat. Look how glossy this is in the shade! 2true Crystal nail Polish Shade 7 is a bronze based foil that looks very warm in sunlight, and gives off a lovely cool rose gold flash in the shade.

Next up we have Rio (Shade 9)

Above is two coats, first pic in the sunlight, second in the shade. This is definitely the warmest toned polish of the bunch I got sent to try. Shade 9 is a lovely warm brown bronze, with a gold shift.

Next up is probably my favourite from these three polishes.

This is St.Tropez (Shade 10) a really gorgeous cool grey-brown base with blue, bronze, and gold flecks. This is my favourite out of the bunch because of the mix of colours, I love the fact that from afar you can still see that they're not all similar fleck colours. The polish flashes blue quite a bit when the light hits, and it sometimes looks a purple too. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to get any sun shots of this one.

Shade 7- Miami, Shade 9 - Rio, Shade 10 - St.Tropez
Taken with a flash. And for funsies I swatched them side by side, and with OPI - Warm & Fozzie as a comparison.
L-R: Miami, Rio, St. Tropez, OPI - Warm & Fozzie (in the shade)
In the sunlight
Hope you're all having a good Saturday! I shall be back tomorrow with the first Adventures In Stamping challenge in 2013!

**These products were sent to me for consideration of review**
