Leopard Print Over A Pink & Purple Gradient

As I mentioned Thursday today's post will be covering some nails I did for my friend Vicki. I really wanted to do a gradient with stamping, so I started with a base of Models Own - Pastel Pink, and Sponged on both Pastel Pink, and Sinful Colors - Daddy's Girl. I then stamped with good old Konad M57 in BYS - Black Satin.

Daddy's Girl is a polish I lusted after a couple of years ago, but totally forgot about it, until I spotted it in the pound shop. I still don't have any swatches even though I've wore it a few times.

On to Vic's Nails:
Base coat: La Femme
Base Colours: Models Own - Pastel Pink
Sinful Colors - Daddy's Girl
Stamping Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Konad M57
Top Coat: Rimmel - 60 Seconds Clear

I really love the colour combo, and i'm planning on wearing it at some point with a different stamp, or some free hand stuff maybe.

Anyways I'm gonna take this time to tell you about Vicki's new Facebook store she's just opened, Blingin Covers.

Blingin Covers specialise in hand made bling iPhone covers using Swarovski element crystals. At the minute she only sells iPhone covers but is looking to expand if demand is high enough. She also sells some seriously cute headphone jack plugs, I think my favourite being the Giraffe which I'll show you later. I think these plugs (or dust stoppers) are such a great idea. My last phone I had used a regular sized jack, and it broke because of dust and fluff getting stuck in the jack.

So here's the Giraffe dust stopper dangle I was talking about:

So yeah check her out if you're in the market for some iPhone goodies, or some dust stopper dangles :] She accepts Paypal or cheque, and is so much cheaper than American competitors.

Happy Saturday :]

Models Own - Pinky Brown & OPI Designer... De Better & Konad M85

This is a slight fail on my part, don't get me wrong, I like the colour combo, but the stamping combo is just a fail in my eyes. I hate stamping over dark fleck duo chromes like this as I think it generally kills off the beauty of the polish somewhat. But after painting on Pinky brown (which I love) I really had the urge to try and stamp, so I just went for it. I think it was a bad move to stamp in another foil. I chose to stamp with OPI - Designer...De Better, which is another polish I love, as I have nothing else like it, and probably never will. The copper flecks in this polish bring me joy!

That being said I still liked the outcome, not a bold or crazy design, but it made Pinky Brown extra sparkly, and I still got the full shift effect of it.

Apologies for how grainy these look in the photos, I think all the sparkly goodness made my camera a little loopy =P

So, how do you stamp over a duo chrome foil fleck polish like this?

Claire's Candy Shop & Crackle

So this polish was sent to me as part of a swap from Iris over at Polish Amor, and I can't believe I haven't posted about it yet. Again these photos are from a while back.

Claire's - Candy Shop is such a nommy, amazing polish I love love love it. It's a pink jelly with multicoloured glitter pieces that range from small round glitter, to large hex glitter. But most of you have already seen this beauty, or Deborah Lippmann's - Candy Shop. So onto the pictures :]

Then I decided to add a black crackle, and I loved it even more, I'm kinda hit and miss with crackles, every now and again I think they look okay, but I don't actually like to wear them. But I loved this combo so much, and the photos don't do it justice it all.

& Then I added a top coat. The more I look at these photos the more I'm disappointed, in person the glitter would catch your eye between the crackle, but they kinda look blah here.

I hope everyone's having a good Wednesday :] This was meant to be a scheduled post for Thursday as I will be ingredient shopping for Scott's birthday cake stuff, but blogger decided to be a pain the butt ¬_¬

Stamping Over A Gradient - We Stamp On Sundays

This week over at Adventures In Stamping the voting was a draw. This was between stamping over a gradient, and stamping using two images. So I actually voted for using two images, but I already had this mani done before the voting began... and I'm having a horrible lazy blah everything sucks day, so this is the mani you're getting!

Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: Essence - Speed Of Light Blue
Sponging Colours: Models Own - Pastel Pink & George - Mischeif
Glitter: Rimmel - Disco Ball
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Bundle Monster 223
Top Coat: Models Own - 3 In 1

And a pic of the gradient before the glitter & before the stamp.
I loooooved wearing this mani. The daylight was beyond crappy for photo taking though. And most of these photos turned out a little fuzzy =/

Here's The plate I used & the polishes used also :]

I hope everyone's had an alright Sunday.
