Winter - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi all!

I hope everyone's had a good weekend! This week's challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was for winter themed nails. Originally I was going to attempt the "winter jumper" look done with a lacey print, and a stag like these lovely nails by So long, kitty. But I had a bit of a fail with the first nail I did, so I picked a different stamp, and just got on with it as I'm feeling pretty horrific (fell down some stairs on Friday) so all I want to do is get this post done, and get back into bed :P
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Models Own - Raspberry Crush
Stamping Colour: Konad Special Polish White
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 315
Top Coat: Rimmel - 60 Seconds Clear

And here's what I used:

I really need a new white, not much left! Also the Models Own Polish I got free in a copy of More this week :]

Happy Sunday!

Barielle - Elle's Spell Swatches

Today I have some swatches of Barielle - Elle's Spell. I never got the chance to swatch it by itself, but from the two coats I did on my thumb I think I'd need about four to make it opaque (I'm a thin coat kinda girl). So Here it is, two coats; over a coat of Barry M - Raspberry. I freaking love this polish, apart from the fact it dries a bit slow.

This is a pinkish red jelly packed with red/orange flakes that shine green at times, and in the bottle you get some blue glimpses too.
Base Colours: Barry M - Raspberry
Barielle - Elle's Spell

I loved these matte, I'm yet to wear this polish for more than a day as I love stamping, and have a hard time stamping over stunners like this. xD When I got this I didn't think any of the green would translate on the nail, but in real life you do get glimpses.

Red & Gold Sponged Fishnet

I hope everyone had a good NYE! I know I was feeling a little delicate this morning from the champagne last night, but I'm all good now :D These aren't the nails I wore last night, but they are festive-ish in my eyes, and I love wearing them as the gold really popped in real life.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: Barry M -Raspberry & W7 - Metallic Mercury & H&M - Wa Wa Woom
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Bundle Monster 209
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

I started off with a coat of Barry M - Raspberry so Metallic Mercury wouldn't need more than the one coat. Then I sponged on H&M - Wa Wa Woom & Stamped with Bundle Monster 209. You can't really see Metallic Mercury's beauty here like you could in my swatches but it was the kind of red I was after.

Nude Gold & Red Half Moons, With New Dotting Tools

My dotting tools from eBay arrived the other day; and as I only had a little time to do my nails so I figured a half moon Mani with some dots along the line would be a good idea. Especially as I'd already got a dry base colour from the night before.

When I picked up this colour from No7 it was when the £5 off voucher was going around, and it was a toss up between a similar colour, but So Simple seemed more opaque.

Honestly, I'm not a massive fan of this shade of nude on me, and I wonder when I'll find my "mannequin hands" shade. It looks okay as the half moon, but to cover the full nail it's pretty pants.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: No7 - So Simple
                     Barry M - Raspberry
Gold: Citadel - Shining Gold (Warhammer Paint)
Top Coat: China Glaze Top Coat

Dotting Tools, Large, Medium Small & Tiiiny (I used the blue, and yellow one from my pack)

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour - No7 - So Simple (3 coats)

Without all the gold.

When I got these I thought the largest end would be much larger (not that it needs to be) and that I'd have more of a range in sizes. But looking closely at the pic of all the sizes below, I do have quite a range. These were such a bargain too, costing me £1.06 and free postage, if anyone would like a linky link. let me know :]
And another pic of the end result :]

My Halloween Nails & My Old Lady Zombie Costume :]

Just a quick post, as I'm dying and all I want to do is get into bed and watch films with some ice cream ^_^ Excuse the tip wear, too many layers of polish and paint, and not enough drying time.

What I Used:
Base Coat: Total Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: Models Own - Nude Beige (1 coat)
Acrylic Paints: Crimson Red, Black, Burnt Sienna
Polishes: Barry M - Raspberry & George - Matte Pink
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
I used a dry brush for these, and basically stippled and swirled layers of colours on until I was happy with the icky look of these.

My costume from last night:

Foundation, then I made myself look old with a matte brown eyeshadow (the one I usually use for my eyebrows xD) a matte white to highlight and bronzer, and white face paint for the eyebrows
Disgusting Tooth Stain Lots Of Fake Blood, Bruising Makeup Stack, Liquid Latex
3 Large Velcro Rollers, And Two Victory Rolls On Each Side & White Colour Spray
Debating dressing up again tomorrow night but I'm really not sure I can be fussed with all of that again, though I do looooove dressing up xD

Hope everyone has had a good Halloweeny weekend

Raspberry Peach Swirl

I'm back home! Yay! I can't wait for Friday to roll around so I can spend the whole day doing my nails. While I was house sitting I was getting stuck for ideas mainly because of having such a small amount of polishes with me! That and I never really had a chance to do my nails. But I have some ideas rolling around in my head now :]

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Models Own - Golden Peach
Stamp Colour: N.Y.C - Foil'er Up
Plate: Konad - M63

Top Coat: Rimmel

Golden Peach is a great colour, and the frosty gold to it cools it down in a way, however I was a little bit saddened by how sheer it was, and it gave me a slight case of lobster hands. Foil'er Up is such an amazing coloured chrome though! So glad to have it in my stamping collection now ^_^ Apologies for the smeared stamp, I've ran out of my preferred top coat ( I scraped the walls of the bottle for the mani before this) and I used a Rimmel one, 10 day wear I think.

Also please excuse the state of my cuticles, and the fact the swatch is pre clean up. I seriously need a cuticle oil rather than lotion. Anyone have any recommendations?

WAH Inspired Pop Art Mani.

Conditions are proving difficult for doing my nails. Dogs are really cute; but really clingy ¬_¬ And the sun's not been out too much, and there's not much bright lighting in this house. So I'm posting some images from the start of the month, until I manage to get some decent pictures.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base colours: Sally Hansen - White On & Barry M - Raspberry
I used tape, a black nail art pen, and a pin for dotting :]
