Bit of a delay in the post today, but I shall tell you about that later. This week's challenge for Adventures In Stamping sort of snuck up on me (only doing the nails today on sunday) so I had to quickly decide on what to do. And when I really thought about it I realised I knew exactly what I wanted to do, and what with :]
Base Coat: La Femme Base Colour: Miss Sporty - Unkown, I thought It was Fatal Black.. Stamping Colours: Miss Sporty - Electric Beige Barry M - Gold Foil China Glaze - Millennium Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM315 Top Coat: Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard As Nails |
In real life the colour difference is more noticeable, and maybe i'll have a look through other photos and add a better one in at some point. For a swatch (although old and bad:P) go here.
Here's what I used:
So I was all ready to write this post up about 2 hours ago, but then the weather went wild. At first I was happy as I like storms, especially when I'm in the house, I was just about to make a hot chocolate (sad I know) and then It went downhill.
First I went running around the garden to see if my cat Cheese had been locked in the greenhouse, as she wasn't in the house. She wasn't in there but there were a couple leaks that were pouring, so I stuck out some empty tubs. By the time I ran back to the house with a huge umbrella I was soaking wet, but Cheese was in the house now all safe and sound, so it was all gravy. That is, until I went into my room, and saw the window leaking water everywhere! So yeah I sorted all that out, and moved all electrical bits and bobs away from the splash zone. Now the rain wouldn't hurt you with its sheer force if you went outside, and the water level isn't almost up to the top step of the front door anymore, so there's not so much panic in the house.
So, now I'm back to writing this post, but in the kitchen instead. Fingers crossed it won't rain heavier ;( This is also why there's only one picture of my mani, and lack of time to edit, but also because for the worst part of the down pour, it looked like it was night time outside lol.
I hope you lot are having a nice Sunday to make up for mine! :]
Love! I swear I need some Barry M. In my life already!
ReplyDeleteYou should, especially their foils (though I have only tried Gold)
DeleteMe encanta este diseño. Muy étnico.
ReplyDeleteBesotes
Awhh! Thank you!
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteA good thing that Chelsea is safe - sounds like quite a storm, hope the damage isn't too serious!
ReplyDeleteI love this mani, the pattern is great!
It was a horrible time! I don't think the damage is too serious (I think it was some ivy & clamatis that's grown between the wall/roof and the guttering) Will have to wait for my dad to come back from holiday though hehe.
DeleteThanks =]
Oh dear sounds like you've had some awful weather where you are. We've been quite lucky seems to have bypassed us..
ReplyDeleteLove the mani, lovely patterns and colours :)
Was quite bad like!
DeleteThanks ^-^
that plate is gorgeous! gorgeous nails! too bad about the weather, sound like you had quite an adventure. Hope it stops soon. ^.^
ReplyDeleteHehe Thanks.
Deletei love it when people use stamps i haven't even noticed before !! xx
ReplyDeleteReally Debbie? I noticed this one as seen as i'd seen all the plates on someone elses blog! Hehe. So strange ^-^
DeleteI love this! It's almost tribal looking =) And can I just say that I love the fact that your cat's name is Cheese!
ReplyDelete:] Heh Thanks ^-^ Cheese, Pickle, and Jazz (from when I was younger and loved princess Jasmine hehehe)
DeleteThe manicure is gorgeous! And I know the rain story to well! In my house in romania 3 windows were leaking until recently and it wasn't fun when the rain started :/ But it's good that everything went okay in the end and that Cheese was safe ;)
ReplyDeleteOh no, bless your heart! It was raining lightly all day yesterday and I was obsessively checking the window lol.
DeleteThanks :]
Beautiful mani! I hope you're staying warm and dry with Cheese now!
ReplyDeleteIts scorching outside today, so she's off chasing flies hehehe! Thanks :]
DeleteLol - I am not laughing at you but honestly you really have some adventures over there lady! I love the mani and I'm glad you were able to rescue everything in time!
ReplyDeleteOh really; it sounds like you ARE laughing at me :P You'd be laughing even more if you'd seen me running about in heavy duty (and really heavy) mens size 10 wellies, pajama bottoms, and a Zelda shirt lol.
DeleteSeriously awesome combo--I'm all kinds of jealous of your stamping skills! ;)
ReplyDeleteHope your house didn't flood out too badly and glad Cheese made it in safely!
Awhhh thanks =3
DeleteLuckily none the rain let up a bit and the drain out front could cope! Another 15 minutes as heavy and i'm sure it would've flooded a bit.
Great stamping and color choice!
ReplyDeleteThanks =]
DeleteThat is definitely an interesting stamp! And for being so detailed, it stamps so clean! ^.^
ReplyDeleteIt was quite a pleasure to work with, only a couple turned out naff (on the stamp before stamping on the nail) but that was because I waited too long.
DeleteThat is a really nice plate and love the colors you used. Hope the weather settled down, glad Cheese and everyone is okay!
ReplyDeleteIt has settled today, it's scorching outside hehe. Thanks :]
DeleteI love storms too except for last summer when there was one so fierce that my skylights flooded fiercely and I was standing on my sink in the middle of the night holding towels. The next day I was told I had to buy a new roof!!! Love the stamping-perfection!
