Green On Green Lizard Skin

Quick post today (Wednesday night as I write this, and I am 5 days behind in my blog list! ack!)

Another mani from a few weeks ago, and something I had wanted to try for a while now. I even tested out this combination when I first got my Beetle Juice polishes after Christmas. MUA - Shade 23 is such a beautiful pale creamy khaki green I really loved the formula on this too. Actually all the MUA polishes that I have tried I've liked, they're great coverage; not too thick, and dry quick. Over that I stamped on Models Own - Golden Green, with a scale effect image.

Such a subtle effect, but I loved these. Enjoy the two pics I managed to snap on a murky day! :]

ELF - Mint Cream & Models Own - Emerald Black Stamping

Quick post today, I was in a green mood, so I opted for some green on green stamping, and chose to use images I've never used before. On Bundle Monster BM11 there are two images that are the same, one is outline, and one is the solid image.

I started with ELF - Mint Cream, this was my first time using this polish, and I was so impressed with the formula. Easy peasy two quick drying coats. I don't have any swatches at the minute though sorry! I had to double stamp each nail too as the images are only small. I was only going to do an accent nail, but I didn't pay much attention while stamping, so index and middle finger have the outline image, and ring and pinky have the solid image.

Base Colour: ELF - Mint Cream
Stamp Colour: Models Own - Emerald Black

Please excuse the colour of my skin, it was a very, very cold day when I took these.

Models Own - Aqua Violet Swatch

So again I've not felt much like doing my nails, or posting, or in fact doing anything productive, as I'm still having problems with my teeth, well with the socket of the one I had pulled. Turns out I have a "little bit" of dry socket, so I'm now on anti-biotics, and I've had the socket packed with some clove mixture, which is awesome, because I love everything tasting like nasty clove oil ¬_¬ At the minute I'm still having a little bit of pain every hour or so but hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Rant over, just a quick swatch today :] I think the second photo's probably the best to see the colour shift.

Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: Models Own - Aqua Violet 3 coats

The sun was hiding, so these aren't the best photos, but the shift is subtle, so it's really really hard to capture. While the colour is still nice, and pretty and all the rest I'm a little sad by how subtle the shift is. That being said, the day I had this on I did enjoy wearing it, I just think for me it's a colour to be stamped over for sure.

My NYE Mani!

I'm not sure how I'm only posting this now, on the 24th! I really didn't know what to wear on my nails for New Years Eve, like at all. I thought about going glitter crazy and just super bling, but then I thought of all the effort of removal ;( So I settled for a new polish, some star stamping :]

Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: Models Own - Emerald Black
Stamp Colour: Miss Sporty - Electric Beige
Image Plate: BM21
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

Not totally ipressed with Emerald Black. It's a pretty colour, and the opacity's great, but it's not as impressive as the likes of Pinky Brown or Purple Blue. As the shift's not strong it was hard to get photos, but in artificial warm lighting this just looks green. So it was nice and festive for the night.

Models Own - Purple Blue Swatch

Just some swatch photos for you guys today and then Stamping Sunday tomorrow, and the theme is stars! Not overly sure if I'm happy with what I've got ready for it, so I might do a different design later :P

Onto the swatches :]

Shade

I really love this bad boy, like really really love it, I love the base colour when you can't see the shift too; which is just a plus. Yeah, this flashes purple and blue hence the name, and slightly pink and there's some teal that pops out too. It's awesome :D

Hope everyone is having a grand Saturday :]]

My Cousin Frans Nails!

Frances and my aunt Rosie came to stay with my family over Christmas for about 5 days, in that time I did Fran's nails three times, my aunts once, and my mams once; for the first time ever. Because these were all done at night and we had stuff to do/ were sleeping during the best hours of light I only have pics of Fran's designs. Also partly because her iPhone flash doesn't bleach out your fingers like my camera flash does!

The penguin design came from a You Tube tutorial, after I spied it on Copy That, Copy Cat and fell in love with it :] Sorry for the messy clean up, I haven't found my perfect cleanup method for acrylic paint & polish just yet, not while the nails are wet yet anyways.

Christmas Nails & Christmas Goodies

Today we have the nails I wore for Christmas Day, and the nail goodies that Santa brought me. :D Quick post today, but I should be back to the usual blogging after all my festive cheer is gone :P

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: China Glaze - Millennium
Nail Art Pens: Red & Green
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
These were a bit rushed, and botched for my liking, but after doing my Cousin, my Aunt, and my Mam's nails I ran out of energy and just couldn't be bothered :/ I was going to do a different design on each nail but I kept knocking the different base colours, and then they all took different times to dry so I decided on a Chrome, just because they take no time to dry!
Mini Haul!!! Santa was so good to me this year, especially Scotty-Santa. He went a bit crazy with it all :P But don't get me wrong, I appreciate that he likes to buy me nail stuff ^_^ He bought me the Beetle Juice collection, the Konad special polishes, the Konad plates, the Konad book of ideas, the China Glaze, the O.P.I. and a 4 set of O.P.I mini Muppets Holiday 2011 collection. Such a lucky girl ^_^ The rest of the goodies are from friends and family.

Looking forward to trying out that pink, it's more neon in real life.

Looking forward to this plate :D

I think the full size konad is a dark plum colour, but I'm not positive. Can't wait to try the white though!

Can't wait to try these beauties!!!
