Valentines Day - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi all, I'm totally not feeling valentines day this year surprise surprise. So while this week's challenge over at Adventures In Stamping is for Valentines Day stamping, you guys get my nails from last year that I never posted.

This time last year I was getting ready for an interview, and planning what to take to Edinburgh. I had planned these nails before hand, but then it got really late the day before we traveled so I rushed them.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Colours Used: Models Own - Pastel Pink
                          MUA - Shade 20
                          La Femme - Pink Creme
                         Sally Hansen - White On
                         Clubworks - Fuchsia
                         OPI - Excuse Moi
Nail Art Pens: White Green & Pink
Green Acrylic Paint
Striping Tape
Stamping Polishes: Konad Special White
                             BYS - Black Satin
Image Plates: Bundle Monster BM03, BM08,
                     Konad M60
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
Forgive me for the quality of the picture and the rushed job. Oddly the guy at Edinburgh Dungeons who takes the photos when you're in the stock with an axe complimented me on these.

Hope you've all had a good weekend. I spent my Friday night chilling, and my Saturday back and forth to the bathroom feeling like I was going to be sick :( Gladly I feel better today.

Halloween Nails & Costume

Hi all!

I thought I'd post my nails from Saturday, and my costume. I only have one photo of my complete outfit (hair done, mini hat, and medals) but it's a group shot, and I'm too lazy to ask the ladies if I can post it here :P

What do you think? I loved it, I actually scared people while I was out; it was great :D Wearing dark contacts made me wish I had dark eyes though hahah.

These nails aren't actually the finished product - but I ran out of light before I had a spare moment to take any photos.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: MUA - Shade 19
Other colours: Cutex - Sweet Pea, Revlon - Teak Rose
Acrylic Paints
Topped with Essie - Muchi, Muchi
Matte: Rimmel - Matte Finish

Later I added Rimmel - Celebrity Bash to make the blood glossy
Got this idea from Samarium's Swatches I added too many coats of Muchi, Muchi though and hid most of the random grossness of the acrylic paints. These looked much better as a finished product!

Hope you're all having a good Tuesday =]

Can't Wait For Fall - We Stamp On Sundays

This week's challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was a Fall look ' Can't wait for Fall'. I had an idea for this when it was announced this was the winner, but I thought it would be way, way too much effort to try and get a lightning bolt to look like a path going off into the distance - and I didn't have a tree image to stamp. So for the sake of my sanity I changed my idea :P
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: ELF - Desert Haze
Other Colours: MUA - Shade 23
Essence Colour3 - A Walk In the Park
Stamping Colours: Manhattan - Lemonade
Sally Hansen Insta-dri - Quick Brick
Image Plates: Bundle Monster BM04, BM316
Top Coat: Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard As Nails
Here's a pic of the gradient before I hid most of the prettiness with the stamping :]

 Here's what I used:

I hope you guys like them! This is the first Insta-Dri I've owned. Well; I bought two, but this is the first I've tried. I got so excited for the idea of owning a red that'll stamp over anything, and I love it. I need to try them both over black, but for now it will stop my lusting for a red that stamps. Annnnnd this is by far the prettiest red I own. Slap a top coat over that sucker and it really comes to life, it looks so juicy!

I know I said I'd be good and be organised, but I'm not feeling well ( I know; it's just one thing after another right?!) but will have my birthday haul post up this week for sure =]

I hope you're all having a good weekend!

Green On Green Lizard Skin

Quick post today (Wednesday night as I write this, and I am 5 days behind in my blog list! ack!)

Another mani from a few weeks ago, and something I had wanted to try for a while now. I even tested out this combination when I first got my Beetle Juice polishes after Christmas. MUA - Shade 23 is such a beautiful pale creamy khaki green I really loved the formula on this too. Actually all the MUA polishes that I have tried I've liked, they're great coverage; not too thick, and dry quick. Over that I stamped on Models Own - Golden Green, with a scale effect image.

Such a subtle effect, but I loved these. Enjoy the two pics I managed to snap on a murky day! :]

Stripes & Flowers

Totally inspired by this mani, I just loved the colour combinations, and that bird cage is so cute! Though i didn't have time to do more than just stripes and flowers before bed.

Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: Beauty UK - Smokey Lilac
Striping Pens: White & Pale Pink
Dark Pink: MUA - Shade 20
Acrylic Paints: Emerald Green, Viridian
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
Gold was created with Miss Sporty - Gold Backstage. And two glitter liner pens.
I loved wearing these, but I'm so used to stamping I always end up picking at the slight bumps in the design after a few days.

Pink & Black Flowers Bundle Monster & A Cute Iguana

I hate when I get stuck in a rut of certain colours, or shades, so to brighten my day up I used a bright pink MUA polish. And then there's a pic of an Iguana from the Aquarium I went to at the start of December :]

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: MUA - Shade 20
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin

MUA - Shade 19 Swatch

Another quick swatch today of a polish from November. The colour's like... really milky coffee, that's the best explanation I can think of hehe. I really need to see what it looks like compared to my other nude colours, as I think this might fall on the Taupe side of things. I'm looking forward to using it with gold though ^_^

This was two buttery coats :] It's just a shame that on this bottle the brush is all sorts of messed up, so it's more difficult to use. But for only £1 I can't complain :P

Khaki & Bronze Feathers

No Christmas nails today, but they're kinda Autumnal, and were quite fun to wear. This is one of three new polished Scott bought me recently. Originally I'd picked up this one, and a nude shade, and then we were told at the checkout they were on 3 for 2, so I got a bright pink too.

This was actually a colour I included in my giveaway, and I'm glad I was still lusting after it, as I have no other green like this. The formula on these is amazing too, fast drying, with great coverage. But I do have a slight hate for the brushes; for £1 a bottle though; no complaints from me :]
