Summer Splatter and Aztec Stamping with Cheeky Viva Mexico

Hi all, today I have some fun nails I did probably in the end of August?

Now, some of you may be aware I have zero skills when It comes to doing splatter manicures, and for a couple years now I've opted to use the rough side of a kitchen sponge to create a similar effect.  I used the rough side of  a sponge again for this manicure, and I added a top coat before stamping.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Colour Club - Blue-ming
Splatter Colours: Natural Collection - Antique Coral, Kiko - Cornflower Blue
Stamping Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Cheeky - Viva Mexico
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
Sadly my trusty BYS - Black Satin had started to thicken and it was really really hot the day I did these so sadly the stamping isn't as clean as I would have liked.

Here's the base:

Hope you're having a good Monday so far!

Teal to Pink Holographic Gradient and Stamping

Hi all,

So I've managed to recover some more photographs from one of my memory cards (laptop is still broken) So hopefully I will get them in the right order and start posting more frequently.

Today I have something I did, maybe even back in June! This mani is a holographic gradient using Kiko - Jewel Pink and Jade - Energy and then I stamped with  BYS - Black Satin using Bundle Monster BM319.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Top Coat: Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard As Nails

Well I will be back in the next couple of days to show you some really cute Halloween nail stickers I wore a couple of weeks back from Nailtopia.

Happy Monday!

Orange to Green Gradient & The Polish Bar Satellite Glitter

Happy Saturday!

This is a scheduled post as I'll be chilling with my family for the next week and a bit.

Another odd combination today, but I got it in my head that an orange to green gradient would look awesome. It didn't, it looked like I had carrot fingers, the only saving grace was the glitter. I think the Polish Bar - Satellite is literally so amazing it could even save carrot fingers!
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: Kiko - Melon - 356, Cutex - Sweet Pea
Glitter: The Polish Bar - Satellite
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

I was wanting to stamp over this combination but I'd had a busy week at work and didn't get the chance to until they had already chipped.

Fake Tattoos Nail Tattoo Review

Happy Wednesday guys :]

Today I have a post reviewing some nail tattoos that I was kindly sent to try out a while back now. I've yet to do more than this one mani with them, but I will definitely be trying out the others from the packet when I get a chance.

These nail tattoos are from a company called Fake Tattoos and like the large selection of tattoos they offer on their site, these can be used on the body too.

On to the mani I created with some of these fake tattoos, and I will show you what else they sent, and wht you can expect to see in the future.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Barry M - Lychee
Two Coats Of: Sally Hansen - Pink Rose Diamond
Polka Dots: Kiko - Jewel Pink
Tattoos: Fake Tattoos
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
With Flash
As you can see the holographic sparkle shines through the bow a little which I really like.

Here's what they sent me:
I think next I'll try the moustaches, or the owls! There's so much detail in those owls!
And here's the nude holographic base I created using Barry M - Lychee & and two coats of Sally Hansen - Pink Rose Diamond. I've always wanted a holographic nude so I'm quite happy with this!

The tattoos were really easy to use. I messed up the first one on a thumb by soaking the paper before it was on the nail (don't ask me why I decided to go about things backwards!) but after trimming the paper around the image pressing it to the nail (the tattoos like all other temporary tattoos are a little tacky) then soaking the paper these work an absolute dream! So easy to use, and like water decals and stickers pretty much dry instantaneously.

Have you ever tried using these kind of nail tattoos?

**These were sent to me for consideration of reivew**

Over Orange - We Stamp On Sundays

Happy Sunday :]

Bit of a late post today but it seems like my day's just slipped away from me, and I've been on slow motion for a few hours now.

This week's challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was to stamp over orange. As soon as orange was decided as the winner I knew I wanted to do tiger nails as it's been a bit of a while.

I started with a base of Kiko - Melon and used the rough side of a kitchen sponge to dab on Essence Colour3 - Dancing In The Street and Alessandro - Pomegranate. Pomegranate looks a little pinker than it is when it's next to the other two colours. Then I added a top coat, and stamped with Bundle Monster BM223 with BYS - Black Satin and added another top coat.
Base Coat: OPI - Nail Envy
Base Colour: Kiko - Melon
Other Colours: Alessandro - Pomegranate & Essence Colour3 - Dancing In The Street
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM223
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
And here's some pictures of the base before stamping. I only remembered to take photos after stamping one nail!
And here's what I used:

Hope you've all had a good weekend, mine has gone far too quick!

St. Patricks Day - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi alllllllll! Happy Sunday.

Hopefully by the time this posts I shall be painting my wardrobes and finishing the decorating that I started 2 years ago. The likelihood of that actually being the case however, is kind of zero :P I'm so lazy.

This week's Adventures In Stamping Challenge was for St. Patricks Day. When I heard this was the case I knew the kind of thing I wanted to do immediately, which was a pleasant change!
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Barry M - Lychee
Other Colours: Yes Love - K011, and Kiko - Melon
Stamping Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Bundle Monster - BM206
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
Here's the splodged on colours before stamping:

Here's what I used:

Hope you've all had a good weekend!

Crazy Neons - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi all, been a little MIA this week again, but I've just been shattered!

This week's stamping challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was to use crazy bright neons. I decided to do a "plastic bag" smooshie style base for these, and then stamp over with black.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Rimmel - French White
Neon Colours: Kiko - 356 - Melon
Alessandro - Pomegranate
Clubworks - Pink
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Konad M85
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

Here's my base, before a top coat, and the method used didn't really work, so I filled in some of the whiter spots with a cotton bud with polish on.
 Here's what I used:

Hope you've had a good weekend! I should be getting ready to head out to stuff my face with yummy food, probably Wagamamas, nomnomom noodles! And then to go watch Wreck-It Ralph :D

Green Flakie Argyle

Hi all!

Quick post today, another mani from at least a month back now, this lack of daylight is starting to really annoy me! Also the flakies, and Diamond Drops looked so much better in proper sunlight, but there was literally not a sprinkle around when I had my camera near by.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Kiko - 296 - Meadow Green
Flakies; Catrice - C04 - Shake It! Flakie It!
Rainbow Shards: Color Club - Diamond Drops
Stamp Colour: Konad Special White
Image Plate: Konad M60
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

I probably could have done with two coats of Catrice - Shake It! Flake It! I would have used two if I wasn't going to add Color Club - Diamond Drops, and then stamp too.

So above is two coats of Kiko - Meadow Green. Not really much to say on this, the formula was amazing, which is a running theme with every single Kiko i've ever tried. The colour's glossy and bright and evens out on the nail so nicely.

That's all from me today! Happy Thursday :]

Kiko - Jewel Pink Holo & Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - TealyFast Stamping

Hi all!

Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone's having a good one! I'll be at work when this posts, but I'm feeling a lot better than I was on Sunday :] I still feel achey, and my bruises are crazy (all from falling down the stairs) but I'm feeling a lot better after quite a nice Sunday night ^-^
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Kiko - Jewel Pink - 402
Stamp Colour: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Tealy Fast
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 314
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
I'd like to take this time to thank Susana for sending this in our latest swap. I love it so much; and I'm not much of a pink fan! I also NEVER wear pink on my toes, yet this was on them pretty much solidly for months!

So pretty! I also really love the formula on this type of holographic polish. Dries so nicely. I did find that the holo effect almost was more prominent after a top coat.

Essie - Orange It's Obvious
Kiko - Light Grape - 292

Stamping Over Glitter - We Stamp On Sundays

Superrrr late post today, but it was either post it this late, or not take part in the Adventures In Stamping challenge again, which is something I do not want to do. Maybe after I've shown you my mani I'll explain a little bit about what the frak is going on with me lately.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Kiko - Violet Microglitter
Stamp Colour: Barry M - Gold Foil
Image Plate: Bundle Monster - BM319
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
And here's some shots of this little stunner without the stamping:

And here is two coats without top coat, looks a little bumpy, but you couldn't feel it to the touch:

Okay so explaining myself; I’m not writing this for any sort of sympathy, and I’m in fact already struggling of how to go about explaining things, but I feel like a bad blogger and want you guys to know why. I've not been keeping up to date with my reading list for a couple of months now, generally always being a week behind. Recently I'm not posting to my normal schedule, and I'm not as active as I should be. I'm not even painting my nails like I usually do, and I've even went weeks at a time without stamping.

This is pretty much because I'm adjusting to life now things have changed.  I've split up with Scott, so I've been trying to distract myself, from dwelling on things really. And this is why I've been a bad blogger. But I really want to get back into being organised! I've got photos from back in August that I need to edit and post; I need to get back into Sunday challenges too, as I've missed them.

I’m gonna try to get back to normal blogging ASAP so bear with me :]

W7 - Lava Flow & Another Swap With Susana

Hi all! Happy Thursday!

I have a quick swatch of W7 - Lava flow today, I was intending to stamp over it, but when I had it on I really didn't know what I could do with it. I also have new swap goodies from Susana to show you!
W7 - Lava Flow & Rimmel - Matte Finish
This is two coats of Lava Flow, an off white, almost lilacy base with matte black glitter, and regular red glitter floating around. When I first seen this polish many months back (I bought this back in July!) I loved it, but I just didn't like it on me, and I wished the red glitter was also matte. Which is why I added a matte top coat too, and it helped a bit.  In all honesty I liked this a lot better in person, at arms length than I do in these photos.

And onto my lovely goodies from my most recent swap with the lovely Susana, loads of new goodies to try! I got these a couple of weeks back now, but I'm yet to try anything still! I'm so bad!
Very excited to try Violet Microglitter that's not even half the sparkle you can see in real life!

She also sent me some green tea, which is the nicest I've ever tried. I was going to wait to take a photo before trying it, but I really couldn't wait :P Thank you Susana!

What do you guys think of Lava Flow?
