Gold Tips

I feel like I haven't used Konad or Bundle Monster in ages. And the truth is I haven't. Although I've had a little time, I feel as though life is mental right now. I think this is just because next week is my last week of work; and so instead of getting everything sorted, and trying to apply for as many suitable posts as I can, I'm trying to plan my first holiday (and first time on an airplane!) and freaking out, which means I try to distract myself - a lot.

More stampy goodness on the way soon. Promise. I actually put on some gems, and some gold bullions onto the sponged part too. but the colour combination was a bit off for me, so i'm not gonna post a pic :P

Matte & Gloss Fishnet

Another quick Mani for work, not a massive fan of it. But it was fun to wear for a couple of days :] And my boyfriend said it reminded him of black Spider-man / Venom. I kinda see it, but it's not my first reaction.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Miss Sporty - Charcoal
Matte Coat: Rimmel Pro - Matte Finish
Stamp Colour: BYS - Fools Paradise
Plate: BM209
Nail Art Pen: Black

I used the Bundle Monster plate as a guideline so my lines would be marginally straighter than free hand. I really need to thin my black nail art pen though it kept coming out goopy :(

Gold & Black Flowers

These were my going out nails a couple of weeks back :] My Sister-In-Law brought me back this palette as one of my Canada gifts when she, and my brother went to visit family ^_^

When I first tested the palette the glitter was dry, so I thought it would be perfect to pressing into a tacky polish; but about 7 fingers in I got down to the cream part of the palette making it harder to finish both hands but I succeeded :]

Ditsy Print Sugar Skull

Another alcohol transfer, this time a flowery dress. The water decals I bought from eBay arrived recently, so I thought I'd have a go. I love all things sugar skull :]

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base colour: Sally Hansen - White On
Transfer Image: Flower Dress
Decals: From EBay
The flower pattern was quite hard to control. Ditsy print itself is tiny; and an image of a dress that's 3 inches big is hard to make out. This time the print only came out perfectly on my little finger. I still like the rest though. The water decals were surprisingly less fiddly than I'd imagined too :]

Image Transfer

I've always wanted to try news paper print nails using alcohol, but back in the day when I was first interested I was convinced that I needed special alcohol to do it. Silly Jenjen.

After seeing a couple of images recently I had an idea to see if images would also transfer to give some sort of fabric effect.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour - Sally Hansen - White On

Images: Buzz Magazine
The picture I used was from a magazine free with whichever paper my family gets on the weekend. This was from the fashion section - an orange and lemon dress, I think.

Overall I like the way it turned out - and I think I'll use the method again for the background of some water decals I have coming :]

Coral & Chrome

Just another simple mani :] You can't really see from this photo; but there's gorgeous gold shimmer through this coral orange. The formula of this nail varnish too, is so good for how cheap these colours are :]

Ocean Gold Tape Mani

Quick mani - I wasn't in the mood for konad, or bundle monster, for some strange reason.

Pre-cleanup so excuse the mess :]

Jammie Dodger Nails

As soon as I seen this plate when my new Bundle Monster arrived I instantly thought Jammie Dodgers. I'm really not sure why. But I've been wanting to try it ever since. Originally I saw the old school Jammie Dodgers, without the heart centres. However hearts are cute ^_^

I'm not convinced they look like Jammie Dodgers still, but it was a nice mani to wear :]

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - White On
Stamp Colour: Rimmel - Milk Chocolate

I liked the design without the pink and purple glitter, but I thought it needed something else. Still not sure if I like it though :]

Strawberries

This is actually my second attempt at Strawberry nails - the first was with polish though, not acrylic, and paints are just so much easier to work with when you're first starting off. Well for me they are.

My First Water Marble!

This is actually my second attempt at water marbling - but the first time I didn't even manage to make a pattern in the polish. I think I just waited too long. I've also had passed issues with my white polish not drying properly, but I recently purchased Sally Hansen - White On and it's so smooth, and dries so well! So I thought I'd give marbling another shot :D
