Yellow Alcohol Transfer

Such a gorgeous bright creamy polish, poifect!

So it's been way too long since I've done a transfer and I've been meaning to do something on a coloured base, this didn't work out perfect but I've never had owls on my nails so I don't care ^_^

& for good measure the images I used

Elie Saab Print Nails

Finally got around to trying magazines for alcohol transfers. It worked just as well, but I found it a little tricky, with the thinner paper sticking to the nail. These are from an image of an Elie Saab dress. As always these were fun to wear; and I like the gritty texture you get. But I think flower prints still work best. I used sections from the larger print on the panels of the dress.

Ditsy Print Sugar Skull

Another alcohol transfer, this time a flowery dress. The water decals I bought from eBay arrived recently, so I thought I'd have a go. I love all things sugar skull :]

The flower pattern was quite hard to control. Ditsy print itself is tiny; and an image of a dress that's 3 inches big is hard to make out. This time the print only came out perfectly on my little finger. I still like the rest though. The water decals were surprisingly less fiddly than I'd imagined too :]

Image Transfer

I've always wanted to try news paper print nails using alcohol, but back in the day when I was first interested I was convinced that I needed special alcohol to do it. Silly Jenjen.

After seeing a couple of images recently I had an idea to see if images would also transfer to give some sort of fabric effect.

The picture I used was from a magazine free with whichever paper my family gets on the weekend. This was from the fashion section - an orange and lemon dress, I think.

Overall I like the way it turned out - and I think I'll use the method again for the background of some water decals I have coming :]
