Circles Or Dots - We Stamp On Sundays

This week’s stamping challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was to use circles or dots, I was still in a blue mood after the last challenge, and I think it is because of all the bad weather that's been going on.

So in my blue mood, I wanted to try one of my new polishes, and ended up using two. I started with LA Colors - Static Electricity (to see the base go here), and layered a coat of the super sheer Radiation over that. I wanted to try stamping with Sinful Colors - See You Soon, and tried with a polka dot stamping image, but that didn't work out too well, so I used this "reverse polka dot" image from Bundle Monster BM21.

 Here's what I used:

For those of you that don't know there were some crazy flash floods going on recently. Thursday I went to the Metro Centre to shop for Scott's mam, and the first port of call was food. As I was tucking in; we heard a weird noise, and downstairs the Metro Centre had sprung a leak, and started flooding. Because our burgers were so good we carried on eating, laughing off the little bit of water. Even though the thunder and lightning was still going crazy, making the lights flicker like mad.

It was only when we started trying to shop, and seen that pretty much everything was closed, and areas were blocked off that we realised how bad it really was. And after Scott & his brother got their mam her birthday present we tried to leave.. Oh boy it was such a horrible journey home. Going one way; and then having to turn around cause the road was like a freaking river, no one was giving anyone any helpful information. And what would've been a 40 minute (max) car ride, it took us 4 hours odd to get home. Horrible! I feel a little worse for Andy, Scott's brother, who then had to drive home to Hartlepool. Ouch.

Story over! I hope everyone has had a good weekend :]

Today I thought I'd let you know about a guest post of mine for Jo over at Northern Nails. Apologies for the naff pictures, I was having a bad camera day :P

Superman, Supergirl, Nails. KKcenterHk Water Decal Review

So a while back I was contacted by Maggie from KKcenterHk about reviewing some water decals, I immediately said I would love to, but it took me a little longer to figure out which style water decals I would like to try as they have so many! After narrowing it down to something like 10 designs, I finally decided on these, and these.
Here we have WDBLE974 and WDDC061
I was so, so intrigued to get my hands on these ones as I'd never seen metallic water decals before. And as soon as I seen the designs my mind started racing with ideas of what mani's I could do! These retail for USD$6.39, or just under £4.
So Shiny!
I cut off the designs I was going use, and them placed them in a shot glass of water. I used tweezers to peel off the design and place it on my nail, patting off excess water with my finger making sure there were no bubbles under the design. I them patted off the nail with a piece of tissue, and continued with the other nails before adding a top coat to seal the decal in. These are unlinke any water decals I've used before, they didn't feel like they were going to break after I peeled them off the backing paper, which has been my experience in the past. I loved these nails, and so did my boyfriend :]

Only Using Blue - We Stamp On Sundays

This weeks challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was to only use blue. For the most part I was worried about what blue to stamp with. This was after I already painted my nails with LA Colors - Static Electricity, and added glitter, so any dark blues I could stamp with would be too subtle, or look black. So I opted to see how well Essence - Speed Of Light Blue would stamp.

Overall I'm okay with how It turned out, though the finger is a bit smooshy. I loooove the little sneaks of glitter you get through the pattern, It's just a shame I couldn't capture it better!

Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: LA Colors - Static Electricity
Glitter: Maybelline Colorama - Blazes Of Blue
Stamp Colour: Essence - Speed Of Light Blue
Image Plate: Bundle Monster - BM19
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
2 Coats of glitter!

This is the first plate I was obssessed with when I first got my set a few years back, I would try out different designs all the time, but when I had something planned I wanted dogtooth on my nails xD Which is why the plate's so scratched to hell! Damn you metal scraper! I kind of ruined the circle image a little, you can see where the top of the ring's been scraped away over time with the corner of the metal scraper. Boo.

I hope everyone's had a good weekend so far! I'm off my anti-biotics now, and I can't wait till about 6 when I can have a beer! Yum ^_^

Disturbia Trip Nails

So for probably 3 months I've been wanting to do some Disturbia Clothing inspired nails, and I finally got around to doing them. I've been a fan of Disturbia clothing ever since I found out about them from my good friend Miss. Roy :]

Me and my boyfriend have 18 T-shirts from them, at the last count, and it's sure to be more tomorrow, as we're attending the Autumn/Winter collection Launch Party, at their new location.

Onto the nails!
Left Hand
Right Hand

And a better shot of the Diamond
What was used:
Sally Hansen - White On
L.A. Colours - Static Electricity
Barry M - Grey & Lemon Ice Cream
Collection 2000 - Button Moon
M&S - Mini Pink
Nail Art Pens - Blue Shimmer, Yellow Shimmer & Black
Acrylic Paints - White, Black &  Deep Blue
Mac Glitter - Fuchsia
Striping Tape, Brushes & an Orange Stick.

And here is the T-shirt that inspired me:

Diamonds may be a girls best friend, but they are not mine! I love diamond nail art, but it was such a pain in the bum to do on my right hand, after a few failed attempts, my boyfriend helped me out with the outline (thank god :p) These took many hours to do, and I'm not sure if that's because I like to chill and take my time, or because I was watching back to back Awkward, and other shows. However, I still love them, And they're holding up pretty well for doing them on Sunday.

LA Color Static Electricity & Bundle Monster

Another quick post today, I haven't posted in what feels like an age, and I just haven't had the motivation while coping with these dreaded dogs ¬_¬ But I'll be back to posting regularly and doing my nails without hassle in a day or two. I really can't wait to go home, I've had more than enough time with these dogs. I want my own bed, and my kitties!

This stamp just reminds me of the old school Pepsi sign.
