My Halloween Nails & My Old Lady Zombie Costume :]

Just a quick post, as I'm dying and all I want to do is get into bed and watch films with some ice cream ^_^ Excuse the tip wear, too many layers of polish and paint, and not enough drying time.

What I Used:
Base Coat: Total Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: Models Own - Nude Beige (1 coat)
Acrylic Paints: Crimson Red, Black, Burnt Sienna
Polishes: Barry M - Raspberry & George - Matte Pink
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
I used a dry brush for these, and basically stippled and swirled layers of colours on until I was happy with the icky look of these.

My costume from last night:

Foundation, then I made myself look old with a matte brown eyeshadow (the one I usually use for my eyebrows xD) a matte white to highlight and bronzer, and white face paint for the eyebrows
Disgusting Tooth Stain Lots Of Fake Blood, Bruising Makeup Stack, Liquid Latex
3 Large Velcro Rollers, And Two Victory Rolls On Each Side & White Colour Spray
Debating dressing up again tomorrow night but I'm really not sure I can be fussed with all of that again, though I do looooove dressing up xD

Hope everyone has had a good Halloweeny weekend

My First Jelly Sandwich!

I don't really have any glitter polishes that have a mix of sizes in, the closest thing I have is Rimmel - Disco Ball, but even then the glitters micro to small. So seeing all these pretty Jelly Sandwiches around, I decided to invest in a polish with large Holo glitter pieces in, I then decided to mix up a bunch into an empty mini bottle. I'm still lusting after something like Essence - Circus Confetti, or NYX - Carnival but it seems like it would be quite hard to get my hands on either of them :(

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Flormar - Neon Green N007 (2 coats)
Glitter: Franken
Another Coat of Flormar
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

And here's what I mixed up into a mini 17 Bottle
L-R: Barry M - Hologram Hexograms, Barry M - Pink Iridescent, Maybelline - Ice Princess, Rimmel - Disco Ball
I'm really not sure how I ended up with a line of glitter on my index finger, I guess I'm just unlucky hahaha. And I still feel like I need a glitter size in between Disco Ball and Holo Hex.

Frankenstein Mani

I'd been wanting to do these for a while, and did them a week or so back, but never got a photo, so I did them again and only got one good photo (I don't know what's going on with my lamo skills recently haha)

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Mint Mojo
Black & White Acrylic Paint
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
I love the little Frankie on my index finger - he looks so confuused! Hehe I'm getting so excited for Halloween now :D

Miss Sporty - 326 & P2 - Passion Comparison = Dupe

When I bought Miss Sporty - Electric Beige & Gold Backstage I picked up Miss Sporty 326 as the freebie. I think it might have been called Tangerine something or other, but I really can't remember :( I couldn't actually decide so Scott picked this up, but I knew it looked similar to P2 - Passion which I won in a Giveaway I didn't know it would be an exact dupe.

Direct sunlight
Here the Miss Sporty colour looks slightly darker
Index Finger: Miss Sporty - 326
Middle Finger: P2 - Passion
Ring Finger: Miss Sporty - 326
Pinky Finger: P2 - Passion
Two Coats
Index Finger: Miss Sporty - 326
Middle Finger: P2 - Passion
Ring Finger: Miss Sporty - 326
Pinky Finger: P2 - Passion
Two Coats
As you can see these two are so similar, the formula is pretty much the same although P2 has a slightly smoother consistency. But the Miss Sporty colour is slightly darker, however in person you honestly can't tell the difference, I asked a few people and they couldn't tell at all. So if you fancy a strange bright Coral colour like P2 - Passion but can't get your hands on it, Miss Sporty's 326 is a great substitute. And if anyone knows the name please share, or i'll have to hunt it down the next time i'm at the shops!

Essence Grand Plié In Black & Chrome Spider Web Tips

I trimmed my nails the other day and decided they would be a good length to do some Halloween stamping, and this is what I did. They're so simple but were quite fun to wear because of the contrast between the black and the bright silver chrome goodness xD

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Essence - Grand Plié In Black
Stamp Colour: China Glaze - Millennium
Plate: BM13
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

Grand Plié In Black Is a three coater because of it's jelly base, when i was wearing it I couldn't help wishing there was more glitter, but looking at the photos I actually like how sparse it is. Though there is some my camera didn't pick up.

Wintery Pastel Aztec

These didn't really take too long to do, however I had to rush to finish them for my mate Dom coming over, and only got a chance to take a photo the next morning before rushing out to meet some friends. So one photo blog posts are back for today! Sorry for the naff photo too, but I couldn't not post these after all the effort, even though there's a lot to be improved upon!
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Models Own - Utopia
First Stripe: Barry M - Grey
Second Stripe: Beauty UK - Smokey Lilac
Third Stripe: Beauty UK - Soft Grey
Nail Pens In Black & White
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

Miss Sporty Gold Backstage And Electric Beige Dogtooth

So the other week the boyfriend Scottius bought me some Miss Sporty polishes. I've been on the lookout for the perfect gold for some time now, especially for stamping. But everything I seem to find, Is too cool of a gold to stamp on warm colours and still look true gold. However with all that said done Scott was also on the hunt for me, maybe to shut me up :P I don't know, but after some info from Helly About Electric Beige from Miss Sporty, we thought we'd give it a try. And there just happened to be a 3 for 2 offer on xD

Here I'll be showing the beige and the gold, the other colour I have is a total dupe for P2 - Passion, Which will be another post once i've swatched it.

Three thin coats of Gold Backstage - Just to cover VNL
Another shot of Gold Backstage
Miss Sporty - Electric Beige (2 coats) Excuse the dry hands ;(
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Miss Sporty - Gold Backstage
Stamp Colour: Miss Sporty - Electric Beige
Plate: Konad M63
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
I only stamped the beige on the gold to see how well it would show up, I was certain that it would be difficult to see in person, and even my camera had a little bit of a struggle capturing it at first. All I can say is Electric Beige Is so nice to stamp with, the formula is incredible, it dries almost like a true chrome, but it has a glossier texture, and doesn't ruin as fast while stamping. I haven't yet tried Gold Backstage for stamping, but I imagine it will be a lot like H&M - Wa Wa Woom, although Gold Backstage is a lot, a lot warmer.

Maybe I Should do a comparison of all the golds I own one day xD

Hope everyone's having a nice Saturday :]

Manhattan Green Piece, Tape Mani, Matte, & Flakieess!!!

I was taking photos of a swatch of Green Piece when I made plans for the next day, so this mani was just a super quick idea so I didn't have plain boring nails xD I Did two coats of Nubar over the green, and then taped off the area to paint black. BYS - Black Satin is the only black I use for Konad/Bundle Monster, and the only black I use for 1 coat opacity. Love iiit.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Manhattan - Green Piece
Flakies: Nubar - 2010 - G188
Black: BYS Black Satin
Matte: Rimmel Pro - Matte Finish
I do wish i'd done the black a little skinnier, so they were more like snake eyes, but I like the look in the end.
Two Coats Manhattan - Green Piece
And here's the look In gloss.

Mummy Nails

I feel like I have been lacking in the Halloween nails department, usually I jump right on it as soon as it's October but for some reason this year I haven't. I've changed my mind about my costume this year though so I'll have more free time to do my nails, rather than making a bag from scratch, or dyeing a wig with sharpies... So hopefully more Halloween goodness to come :]

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - White On
Black Nail Art Pen
White & Black Acrylic Paint (Eyes)
Rimmel - Pop! (Eyes)
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
I really could've done with another two topcoats, my nail art pens are starting to die and always leave a chunky texture.

Magnetic - Freakin' Violet - 3 coats (just to cover visible nail line)

Bottle shot for the goodness.

P2 Passion & No7 Betty Blues Damask

P2 Passion is such a gorgeous colour, and I think I've recently added a Miss Sporty colour to my stash that's pretty much a dead on dupe. But that's for another post ^_^ In person the stamping looked more blue, and in the last photo you can sort of see that the shimmer comes through too. I think after leopard print, damask is my favourite go-to design. I wish there were some more image plates with damask on so I could change it up a bit. But maybe there is, who knows!

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: P2 - Passion
Stamp Colour: No7 - Betty Blues
Plate: BM21
Top Coat: China Glaze No Chip Top Coat

I know in reality I should be lusting after Autumn colours, but I just love bright so much!

Deborah Sunset Cocktail. Orange & Black Candy Striped Nails

So to start with I'm 1, yes 1! Follower away from my first giveaway, I still haven't looked into creating forms, or anything at all so hopefully it won't be too far from hitting 50 that I figure it all out. This being said there's not that many prizes ;( as I'm so skint, but I hope you'll like them all anyways.

Anyhoooo on to the nails ^_^ this is my first mani that remotely reflects Halloween, and I'm so disappointed that I haven't had the time to do all the Halloween looks that i've wanted to. Hopefully I'll still fit some in, cause I love halloween so bad. So so bad.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Deborah - Sunset Cocktail
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Plate: BM20
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

Two coats of Deborah Sunset Cocktail, as you can see there is still visible nail line :( However the colour is so gorgeous, so bright, so shiny, and the glass flecks are just stunning. I have to say, glass fleck is one of my favourite finishes. So yes, hopefully some Halloween stuff to come, but no promises!

Hope everyone's having a good weekend ^_^

Pink & Geen Flowers, Original Bundle Monster

This is such an odd combination in person it looked so crazy that it was amazing. Bright to the point they looked like one of those optical illusions. However in pictures it's not so amazing and more odd xD
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Manhattan - So-ho Hot - 7
Stamp Colour: P2 - Artful
Plate: BM16
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

Galaxy/Nebula Nails

I've been wanting to do these for some time now but I never got around to it, but with the 31 day challenge there's been a lot more Galaxy nails recently and I fell in love with the look all over again.

I love the way these turned out (although I do wish I'd left a bit more black visible, and chilled out with the dots a bit xD) But for my first try they're not half bad, and so sparkly ^_^

Here's What I Used (L-R)
Nail Rx - Stuck On You Base Coat, Essence - Grand Plié In Black, Nubar - 2010, China Glaze - Millennium, Sally Hansen - White On, Matalan G - Sangria, Manhattan - Lemonade, Deborah - Turquoise Fever,
Rimmel - Disco Ball, Maybelline Colorama - Ice Princess, China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
.
And Ice princess being stunning :]

Beauty UK & Nailene Star Stickers

Just a quickie. I may be a little busy this month with Halloween preparations, but I'm still gonna try and do my nails the usual amount despite already ruining one mani earlier while sanding ¬_¬

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Beauty UK - Purple
Stars: Nailene Stickers
Top Coat: China Glaze No Chip Top Coat
The polish is probably 2 years old, so i'm not sure if thy stock it anymore. It's quite sheer, but it builds nicely. In person I wouldn't agree with "Purple" and more of a dark berry red.
