Miss Sporty - Pop Fiction, Glitter & Dogtooth Stamping

Hi all.

Yay Sunday, the day of lazing :]

Today I have a manicure that I did back in November (for November 5th).  I only have the one photo, but I really liked this mani, I love stamping over chunky glitter.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Miss Sporty - Pop Fiction
Glitter: Models Own - Disco Inferno
Stamping Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM322 (ring) & Konad M63
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
Shot and sweet from me today, I have loads of other stuff to be getting on with even though I really should just be lazing about!

Hope you've all had a good weekend!

Burnt Orange, Silver & Black Dogtooth

Hi all

Bit of an odd combo today, after doing these nails that I loves so, so much, I wanted to do another version, and basically everything went a little bit funny :P
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: W7 - Silver Suede & Cliché - Desserto
Stamping Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Konad M63
Glitter: H&M - Silver Frost
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
I started with two coats of Silver Suede, stamped with BYS black satin, taped half of it off and did a coat of Cliché - Desserto, after that was dry I added a stripe of glitter and a top coat.

I definitely preferred my original purple green combination, so these only lasted two days on me before I was picking at them.

White Dogtooth over Multicoloured base

Hi all. Happy Wednesday. I say that knowing that there's only one and half days left to work! Can't wait for a little break!

Today I have some more "sandwich bag" method where you dab colours onto your nail and use plastic to gently mix the colours. Unfortunately for me, I didn't re watch the video, or do any googling before I tried this, and I actually mixed the colours on the plastic, and then transferred to the nail, which seems a lot messier than the original idea. After trying this method out for these nails I wanted to do a more purple and teal mix.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Rimmel White
Other Colours: Sally Hansen - Fairy Teal, Color Club - Hydrangea Kiss, Beauty UK - Jelly Bean & W7 - Pink
Image Plate: Konad M65
Stamping Colour: Konad Special White
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

And here's the base before stamping.

I like the way these turned out, so I'm going to try it again, perhaps even the "right" way so I don't get covered in excess polish!

Have a good day!

Birthday Nails, Birthday Haul, & Layla Hologram Effect Spam

Hey everyone! I've not had a super productive time off, I mean I've not done too badly; but I've had a lot of sleep, and a lot of relaxing with Scott. So I'm feeling better, and more energetic, so my productivity can only go up this week =]

Today I have for you the Holographic spam of my first linear polish. I also have the nails I wore for my birthday (and all of last week.) And the birthday goodies I got off Scott, and Martine.

Layla Hologram Effect in Ocean Rush came to me in the swap I did with Susana from Blog do Verniz Amarelo I really love this polish so, so much. It's honestly the prettiest polish I own now. And it looks amazing under the lights at work, so the next time I wear it I'm going to drag my camera to work with me. The first few pictures are from my original swatches, and then some better pics from the start of my birthday mani.
Above is two coats, no base coat. And the last picture has a top coat on too. I didn't notice any difference in my top coat dulling down the holographic effect. But i think that probably varies with top coats and the holographic polishes themselves.

Another flash shot, and a blurry shot - but; just look at that beauty!
Subtle rainbow when not in direct light.
In the above photos I'm wearing three coats over a base coat. I can't remember if I had a top coat on or not. Below I added a coat of Color Club - Diamond Drops (I think) to my ring and thumb nails, and slathered on loads of top coat to try and get rid of the pointy edges the big piece left. I think this was only because of the curve of my nails.
Then I added some dog tooth stamping with BM322 the new large Dog tooth image in BYS - Black Satin. Later on in the week on Thursday night I stamped the rest of my nails with this image so I felt like I had something new to wear on Friday night.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Layla Hologram Efferct -Ocean Rush
Holographic Shard on Ring: Color Club - Diamond Drops
Stamping Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM322
Top Coat: Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard As Nails
& China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat (Pre stamp)
I loove the way the holographic shards pop in between the stamping!

And last, but not least; here's my nail related birthday goodies.

My first every NOPI! Yay ^_^ I'd list all the colours but I'm just too lazy to get up and rummage to find these!

If any one knows what colours those Color Clubs are I think I'd love you forever if you'd let me know! I think they're Diamond Drops, Sweet Pea, Hydrangea Kiss & Blue-ming, but I'm really not certain, and it's so frustrating!

Hope everyone's having a good Tuesday! & I hope you all coped with the large post!

Yes Love Neon Green & Black Dogtooth

I'm almost sure I mention this every time, but as soon as I'm sporting shorter nails I reach for one my favourite stamps, from the original Bundle Monster series, BM19. I wish I had a bigger version of this, same small print, just more of it, though saying that If I could wear it with longer nails you all would probably get sick of seeing Dogtooth once a week :P

Dogtooth, or Houndstooth is actually how I came to find out about nail stamping. I was watching some YouTube guru (can't remember who now) and was just like "O_O those nails! I want!" So I went on a Google hunt, and stumbled into the crazy possibilities of stamping, and I've never looked back. : P

Anyhow I really love bright/black Dogtooth nails as they are always so bold, and eye catching. Here they are:
Base Coat: La Femme - Base Coat
Base Colour: Yes Love - Green 23
Stamping Colour: BYS - Black Satin

Top Coat: Models Own - 3 In 1

Only Using Blue - We Stamp On Sundays

This weeks challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was to only use blue. For the most part I was worried about what blue to stamp with. This was after I already painted my nails with LA Colors - Static Electricity, and added glitter, so any dark blues I could stamp with would be too subtle, or look black. So I opted to see how well Essence - Speed Of Light Blue would stamp.

Overall I'm okay with how It turned out, though the finger is a bit smooshy. I loooove the little sneaks of glitter you get through the pattern, It's just a shame I couldn't capture it better!

Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: LA Colors - Static Electricity
Glitter: Maybelline Colorama - Blazes Of Blue
Stamp Colour: Essence - Speed Of Light Blue
Image Plate: Bundle Monster - BM19
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
2 Coats of glitter!

This is the first plate I was obssessed with when I first got my set a few years back, I would try out different designs all the time, but when I had something planned I wanted dogtooth on my nails xD Which is why the plate's so scratched to hell! Damn you metal scraper! I kind of ruined the circle image a little, you can see where the top of the ring's been scraped away over time with the corner of the metal scraper. Boo.

I hope everyone's had a good weekend so far! I'm off my anti-biotics now, and I can't wait till about 6 when I can have a beer! Yum ^_^

Miss Sporty Gold Backstage And Electric Beige Dogtooth

So the other week the boyfriend Scottius bought me some Miss Sporty polishes. I've been on the lookout for the perfect gold for some time now, especially for stamping. But everything I seem to find, Is too cool of a gold to stamp on warm colours and still look true gold. However with all that said done Scott was also on the hunt for me, maybe to shut me up :P I don't know, but after some info from Helly About Electric Beige from Miss Sporty, we thought we'd give it a try. And there just happened to be a 3 for 2 offer on xD

Here I'll be showing the beige and the gold, the other colour I have is a total dupe for P2 - Passion, Which will be another post once i've swatched it.

Three thin coats of Gold Backstage - Just to cover VNL
Another shot of Gold Backstage
Miss Sporty - Electric Beige (2 coats) Excuse the dry hands ;(
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Miss Sporty - Gold Backstage
Stamp Colour: Miss Sporty - Electric Beige
Plate: Konad M63
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
I only stamped the beige on the gold to see how well it would show up, I was certain that it would be difficult to see in person, and even my camera had a little bit of a struggle capturing it at first. All I can say is Electric Beige Is so nice to stamp with, the formula is incredible, it dries almost like a true chrome, but it has a glossier texture, and doesn't ruin as fast while stamping. I haven't yet tried Gold Backstage for stamping, but I imagine it will be a lot like H&M - Wa Wa Woom, although Gold Backstage is a lot, a lot warmer.

Maybe I Should do a comparison of all the golds I own one day xD

Hope everyone's having a nice Saturday :]

Dog Tooth How I've Missed You!

Been so long since I've had dog tooth nails. My nails at this point are so long I wouldn't even attempt to use the Bundle Monster dog tooth (BM19.. I think) which is a shame because I prefer the Bundle Monster image.

However I have a tear in my right thumb nail; so I think my nails will be short pretty soon, so I'll be using some favourites from the first BM set :]
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: China Glaze - Awakening
