Zoya - Carey & Strawberry Stamping

Hi all.

Another Monday has rolled around! I am still mega behind on everything, but I have came to accept that I'm never going to be able to blog like I used to when I didn't work; and had no social life! Sad times, but imma just keep doing what I can :]

Today I'm showing you some stamping, and some swatches of my very very first Zoya. I was sent two lovely zoya polishes from Nail Care Club to review, and Carey is the first one I tried.

I was really impressed with the dry time on Carey, and opacity, but the formula was really thin so it didn't really feel smooth enough before stamping. First impressions of Zoya though - love the bottle, loved the cap, and I really loved the brush.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Zoya - Carey
Stamp Colour: Jacava - Passion
Image Place: Cheeky CH42
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

I have to say I've already tried the other polish sent to me, Solange, and i'm totally in love with the matt glitter.

Hope you've all had a good weekend!

Nailtopia Nail Stickers

Hi all, happy Monday.

Today I'm showing you some gorgeous nail stickers that Nailtopia kindly sent me. She sent me three different styles of stickers, and my favourites are still to come.

These were really easy to use, and the gold really really pops. Click here to buy the nail stickers i'm showing today.

In this picture you can clearly see the ridge of the sticker, but to the human eye you can't tell at all. The texture of the gold parts looks like metal and they almost glitter.

Thats all from me today, I shall be back with some stamping soon :]

Jacava - Passion Swatches

Hi all, quick swatch/review today.

Jacava kindly sent me a four gorgeous polishes a couple of months back, these included Passion, Crimson Crush, Candy Floss & Raspberry Bavarois. All of which are gorgeous shades, with some being a little more sheer than the others.

Passion, which I'm showing you today is the most opaque of the bunch, closely followed by Raspberry Bavarois.

Below is two coats
Jacava - Passion

So as you can see two coats is perfect. The dry time on this is great, and as you can see it's so shiny. I've also tried stamping with this polish, and it's fantastic.

Nautical Mix Up - Double Stamp - We Stamp On Sundays

Hey all :]

Happy Tuesday woooo! Not really woo, but I've only got a four day week so i'm looking forward to that.

I almost feel like these shouldn't really have been posted as part of the Double Stamping challenge by Adventures in stamping. Again my stamping is so subtle it almost totally fails!

The other part of the challenge was to do something called shadow stamping, where you stamp in one colour, and stamp in another over slightly to the side to create a shadow effect. I did try this, with each different image but it just really didn't work out!

That being said I really love these, I'm going to be so sad when they start to chip. I also feel like it's been quite a while since I've done a really lovely mix up/pick n mix/skittles mani.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Models Own - Blueberry Muffin
Thumb: Glitter
Stamping Colours: W7 - Suede, George - Boom, Jacava - Passion, BYS - Black Satin, Cliché - Opala
Stamping Plates: Cheeky CH36 Ch49, Bundle Monster BM312
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
Here's the glitter in the shade.. this is in the shade people!!!
Below are 5 little vials of glitter that my friend gave me, so far I've done a full mani with the blue glitter and freaking loved it, and for this mani I used the second from the left.

Here's what I used:

And that's from me until next time!

Bright Gradient & Golden Bolts

Hi again my pretties!

I hope you're all well, today I have a mani I did about a month back now, the sun had just started coming out and it made me really fancy sporting a pink toned gradient.

I would try and make out like I didn't want to do the gradient super-smooth and seamless, but the truth is I did these in bad lighting, and pretty much was falling asleep. That being said, I do love what a bit of stamping hides!
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: W7 - Pink, P2 - Passion, Models Own - Raspberry Crush
Stamping Colour: Barry M - Gold Foil
Image Plate: Cheeky CH48
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails

And here's a shot of the base:

Hope you're all having a good Tuesday. I'll be at work when this posts, then afterwards I'll be on my way to see Man Of Steel. Henry Cavill in a tight fitting Superman get up; uh yes please!

Something I Love - We Stamp On Sundays

This week’s challenge over at Adventures In Stamping is 'Something I Love' I knew what I wanted to post for this so it was easy. Especially easy as this is a manicure I had already done. It is something I love though. I love gradients, rainbowness, stamping over gradients, and stamping images like this one.

This image is actually my favourite from the Big SpD-A Dashica plate I own. And that's quite a statement as there are so many awesome ones. But yes, images like this, that show majority of the base are one of my favourite types to use; especially over gradients or multi coloured backgrounds, this image is so detailed too.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Rimmel - White
Sponged Colours: Revlon - Sunshine Sparkle
                           George - Buttercup Shine
                           Clubworks Neon Orange
                           P2 - Passion
                           No7 - Poolside Blue
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Dashica Big SpD-A
Top Coat: Models Own - 3 In 1

And a bad photo of them matte (Rimmel Matte Finish), which is actually how I wore them.

This was my first time trying the 'paint on the sponge method' for this gradient, and it turned out really beautiful as the colours worked so well together, but then I decided I wanted them more vibrant - and it went downhill from there, trying to blend each colour into the next became a little bit of a nightmare, and that's why I haven't included any photos of the gradient alone; because it looked like crap!

Bit of a dodgy scan/crop but you can see how pretty it is :]

I hope everyone's had a good weekend!

Miss Sporty - 326 & P2 - Passion Comparison = Dupe

When I bought Miss Sporty - Electric Beige & Gold Backstage I picked up Miss Sporty 326 as the freebie. I think it might have been called Tangerine something or other, but I really can't remember :( I couldn't actually decide so Scott picked this up, but I knew it looked similar to P2 - Passion which I won in a Giveaway I didn't know it would be an exact dupe.

Direct sunlight
Here the Miss Sporty colour looks slightly darker
Index Finger: Miss Sporty - 326
Middle Finger: P2 - Passion
Ring Finger: Miss Sporty - 326
Pinky Finger: P2 - Passion
Two Coats
Index Finger: Miss Sporty - 326
Middle Finger: P2 - Passion
Ring Finger: Miss Sporty - 326
Pinky Finger: P2 - Passion
Two Coats
As you can see these two are so similar, the formula is pretty much the same although P2 has a slightly smoother consistency. But the Miss Sporty colour is slightly darker, however in person you honestly can't tell the difference, I asked a few people and they couldn't tell at all. So if you fancy a strange bright Coral colour like P2 - Passion but can't get your hands on it, Miss Sporty's 326 is a great substitute. And if anyone knows the name please share, or i'll have to hunt it down the next time i'm at the shops!

P2 Passion & No7 Betty Blues Damask

P2 Passion is such a gorgeous colour, and I think I've recently added a Miss Sporty colour to my stash that's pretty much a dead on dupe. But that's for another post ^_^ In person the stamping looked more blue, and in the last photo you can sort of see that the shimmer comes through too. I think after leopard print, damask is my favourite go-to design. I wish there were some more image plates with damask on so I could change it up a bit. But maybe there is, who knows!

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: P2 - Passion
Stamp Colour: No7 - Betty Blues

I know in reality I should be lusting after Autumn colours, but I just love bright so much!
