OPI - The Muppets Most Wanted

Hi all.

Today I have swatches of two gorgeous polishes from the new collaboration from OPI & The Muppets.  To celebrate the release of the new movie Muppets Most Wanted.

Here's a little bit from what OPI had to say about the collection:
"The Muppets are a fun-loving, colorful cast of characters. These eight new nail lacquers were inspired by their latest adventures in Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted, which include a glamorous international stage tour – and lots of surprises"

I chose to review two polishes, Gaining Mole-Mentum, and Miss Piggy's Big Number. I am so happy with my selection as Miss Piggy's Big Number is a really gorgeous eye-catching blue, which does tend to streak a bit, but to the eye you don't notice.  Gaining Mole-Mentum is described as a chunky shredded glitter made of rose and gold, but I swear there's silver pieces in there also.  This polish, surprisingly dried quicker than Miss Piggy's Big Number.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: OPI - Miss Piggy's Big Number (3 coats)
Glitter: OPI - Gaining Mole-Mentum (2 coats)
Below is the swatch shots of Miss Piggy's Big Number.  This is three thin coats, and as it's one of those polishes that looks different in every light, there's a few pics!

This is probably the better picture of the polish, the mirror-like quality is coming through, and you even get hints of the super subtle duochrome effect too.

I will admit though, the next day I added another coat of Gaining Mole-Mentum and it looked so much better!

I was also going to include a clip, but there was an error sadly :(

**These polishes were sent to me for consideration of review**

NOPI - Jade In The Shade & Technic - Mermaid Swatches

Happy Saturday guys! Hope you've enjoyed yours as much as I've enjoyed mine (spent it internet shopping... and bought nothing, aha!)

Small post today, just some swatches from a few weeks back. Nicole by OPI - Jade In The Shade is a pretty blue metallic that sometimes has a bit of an aqua look to it, it's the kind of colour that you can get from pretty much any brand, nothing special. The formula on this isn't great, and these pictures show three coats.

And this is with one coat of Technic - Mermaid
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Nicole by OPI - Jade In The Shade
Glitter: Technic - Mermaid
Top Coat: Rimmel 60 Seconds Clear

Pretty pretty, I think it'd look great over a dark blue creme.

That's it from me. I'll be back tomorrow for the Adventures In Stamping challenge :]

Giveaway Winnings - H&M Snow White Polishes

Hi all.

Small post today to quickly show the polishes I won last month from the lovely Marianne from Rainbowify Me.

I won her 400 follower giveaway, and gained three very pretty polishes to my collection. I have a mani coming up later this week using all three, but for now this is the package shot with some delicious chocolates too nnomnomn. Those gold ones were amazing!
L-R H&M - Make Me Blush, Snow White, and Silver Frost

There is shimmer in Make Me Blush, and Snow White has the most beautiful subtle green and red sparkle under certain lights, it looks especially pretty under artificial light. Silver Frost is a mix of medium silver hex glitter, and micro round glitter.

So chuffed with these, so thank you again Rainbowify Me! :D

Hope you're all having a good Tuesday :]

Over A Blue Base - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi all! I hope you've all had a good weekend! I've been stuck without the internet, and I've been beyond bored, but I guess that's what I get for waiting for someone else to make plans!

This week's Adventures In Stamping challenge was to stamp over a blue base. This has got to be the most subtle stamping I've done to date. Trust me when I say it looks much better in person! I was actually going to stamp again over the holographic polish, but because I didn't think I was going to get a chance to put this post out today I didn't bother.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Nicole by OPI - Loyalty To The Royal-ty
Stamping Colour: Layla - Ocean Rush
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM 314
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
Such a gorgeous blue. I got this for my birthday back in August, but I just haven't felt like wearing such a dark blue until now. This is three thin coats, drying time was really good :]

And here's what I used:

Well that's the quickie post for today, I hope you lot like them :]

NOPI - Fell From The Tree & Color Club - Hydrangea Kiss Swatches

Hi all! Happy Tuesday!

Today I have swatches of Nicole by OPI - Fell From The Tree & Color Club - Hydrangea Kiss. These swatches are from the start of September, and were the base colour for separate mani's that I never got photos of; but I thought I'd still share them.

First up is Color Club - Hydrangea Kiss, a medium dusky blue, with an effortless formula. looking back at photos now Kiko - Cornflower reminds me of Hydrangea Kiss, but a little lighter.

Next up is Nicole by OPI - Fell From The Tree. Formula wise this was a little on the thin side , needing three coats to fully cover nail line, but it was quite an eye catching colour to wear because of the lovely shimmer in it. I actually Think this looks more green in real life.

Hope you've had a good Tuesday! Hopefully i'll be back with some stamping on Thursday =]

Sally Hansen Insta-dri Quick Brick Swatch

Hey all!

Little post today, just a couple of pictures of Sally Hansen Insta-dri Quick brick. I think this is actually the only red I've ever fully swooned over. It's so juicy, and so vibrant and shimmery, and is great for stamping over paler colours. To see where I've used it click here :]

Above is two coats, no top coat, and below is with a top coat, so the juiciness is really exposed, and the colour is probably more accurate below too.

That's all for today! =]

Finaflor - Verde Choquei & FCUK - Purple Blue, Green & Purple Stamping

Hey all! Happy Monday! I hope everyone's doing good. I still feel weird from missing yesterdays stamping challenge, but I had a nice day of doing not a lot, which is good as I have a cold that is kicking my a**, and I struggle at the moment to muster the energy to move the laptop off my lap :P

Today we have some nails that were pretty bright and looked awesome in real life (despite the stamping flaws) but just didn't translate to camera. I also didn't get a sun shot of these, and the sun really made the purple pop.

Finaflor - Verde Choquei (I think that's the name of the polish :P) came to me in my swap with Susana. It's a super frosted duochrome. Lime green that looks darker green at the edges, with gold shimmer that stands out more with a top coat. I then stamped with FCUK - Purple Blue, which doesn't have a name but that's what I'm calling it.
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Finaflor - Verde Choquei
Stamp Colour: FCUK - Purple Blue
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM320
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
Above is three coats, no top coat, and below has a top coat over which helps bring out the shimmer in real life :]

I think I'll have to use this combo again soon as it just reminded me of the Joker. Short post today, sorry :]

Using 3 Colours - We Stamp On Sundays

This weeks challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was to use 3 colours. I dunno if it was meant to be three colours including the base or not, but I think it's open to interpretation. Unless it's regarding green/blue and teals :P Hehe.

Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: Models Own - Utopia
Stamping Colours: China Glaze - Frostbite
                             George - Hoax
                             Miss Sporty - Unknown Colour
Image Plate: Konad M64
Top Coat: Models Own - 3 In 1

What I used :]

Kind of hard to see the change in purples, but you can better see the colour changes on the ring and pinky finger.

Stamping like this is my favourite kind. Don't get my wrong; I like nothing more than striking stamping on a plain base colour, but I just love mixing colours.

For stamping like this, where I don't want any harsh lines, I always use the polish left on the scraper not using the first stamp. :]

China Glaze - Frostbite Blue & Black Zebra

I was totally stunned by this colour when I first got it, and clearly still like it now. It's so bright, and so shimmery. but it really comes alive when a top coat's applied. These photos really don't do it justice as it was a blah day out. And my nails look longer here, because they're from a week back :]
Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: China Glaze - Frostbite
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin

Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

Swatch - Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Bongo Beat

I bought this polish probably back in June, and just wasn't really feeling turquoise until recently. The formula on this beauty is great compared to the goop of Mint Mojo, It's much thinner (you can slightly see my nail line) but it dries so quickly it doesn't really matter. For these pics I managed to get some dust, or cotton wool fluff stuck in between layers, so ignore that. Down side of this polish is that there are quite a lot of visible brush strokes, but that honestly could just be my sloppy appliction. In a way the brightness, and shininess of this makes it almost appear like a chrome, so i'm looking forward to stamping over this at some point :] Or using it for sponging some gradient tips, that could be pretty.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: - Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Bongo Beat (3 thin coats)
See what I mean about the stuff I got stuck in it :(
I honestly could have gotten away with only two coats, but I think I have a ridge or bump where my nails grow past the nail bed, so I did three in attempt to disguise that, as this polish clings to flaws in the nails. Such a great colour though! And pics are without cleanup :]
