Gosh - Frosted Plum Swatches

Hi all.

Scheduled post from me today as I've recovered enough from Friday night to get some coherent sentences together.

This is a pretty pretty polish that was bought for me from the lovely Ashlyn at work =3 As the name would suggest Frosted plum has a really deep base and dries to a sugar-matte finish, and sparkles like no-other! From the bottle it reminds me a little of Models Own - Pinky Brown, just in the colour of some of the flecks.
Gosh - Frosted Plum
There's just something really lovely and warm about the glitter, but it's almost cool-toned too. Here's some pictures with a top coat :

And for good measure have a super blurry shot which shows how sparkly this bad boy is.

That's all from me today.  Hope you's had a nice weekend.

Barry M - Black Multi Glitter & Gosh - Holographic Hero Plastic Wrap Nails

Hi all, Tuesday yay!

Some simple nails for you lot today. I feel like I've not really been doing much stamping recently, and I've not had time for the Sunday challenges over at Adventures In Stamping so I've been loving easy to-do bases, with the hopes I get to stamp over before I get any tip wear. Usually I just end up wearing these plain-ish nails for most of the week.

I started with two coats of Barry M - Black Multi Glitter, which is still a favourite of mine, and then painted on Gosh - Holographic Hero to a scrunched up ball of clingfilm/saran wrap, and dabbed the nails. I love how it gives a foil effect.

The glitter in Black Multi Glitter would have shown it's face more If I'd added a top coat.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Barry M - Black Multi Glitter
Other Colour: Gosh - Holographic Hero

I think the contrast of the black with the holo made it seem brighter. I may try this again with various holographic colours over a dark base.

Hope you've all had a good day so far. I'm just tucking into some noodles on my lunch break. Nom!

Galaxies Gradients & Crosses

Hi all, happy Saturday :D

Today I have a mani I did a few weeks back now for my besties birthday night out. I absolutely loved them, and although all I can see is the flaws, They're still one of my favourite manis I've ever done. These consist of some gradient nails that have crosses on them, and some galaxy nails.

I'm a total fiend for galaxy/nebula style stuff recently, and even painted a pair of canvas shoes with acrylic paints. I've yet to wear them, but they look bloody awesome, even if I do say so myself.
Base Coat:  CND - Stickey
Other Colours: Rimmel - White, Collection 2000 - Angel Wings, W7 - Black & Night Suede
Beauty UK - Jelly Bean Clubworks - Fuchsia, Miss Sporty - Rain Drops, Gosh Holographic Hero
Acrylic Paints - Ultra Marine, White, Black, Yellow Ochre
Glitter: Rimmel - Disco Ball
Top Coat: Sally Hansen  Advanced Hard As Nails

Hope you've all had a good day so far :]

Holographic Dollars

Hi all.

Today I have some nails for you that I was very excited to do, and I loved wearing these. These are a base of Gosh - Holographic Hero stamped with Konad - Pop Green using Cheeky CH55. So simple, but they were nice and bold. I felt so gangster with these.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Gosh - Holographic Hero
Stamping Colour: Konad Special Polish - Pop Green
Image plate: Cheeky CH55
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
And a blurry shot for good the strange reflective look.

I wore these before It started getting light enough in the mornings for me to take photos. As much as I don't like the heat, I'm beyond looking forward to real daylight for photo taking!

Hope you're all having a good Tuesday so far. I'll be tucking into some lunch right about when this posts :]

Over A Red Base - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi everyone! I can't believe the weekend is pretty much over all ready!

This week's challenge over at Adventures In Stamping was to stamp over a red base. These are some nails I did for a date a few weeks back (though It didn't happen :c ) But the nails themselves I loved, even though my top coat was so goopy it almost ruined them.
Base Coar: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Gosh - Berry Me
Glitter: Barry M - Red Glitter
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM19
Stamping Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

These made me feel really festive when I wore them, and festive feeling  is something I need more of considering Christmas is only 9 days away, and i'm 99.9% sure i'll be missing out on one of my favourite things this year. Oh, mistletoe kisses I will have you again; perhaps next year. And I'm not talking about chocolate.

But now i'm ranting so I'm gonna actually get out of bed and make a cup of tea :] I hope everyone's had a good weekend!

Essence - Choose Me! & Gosh - Holographic Hero Stamping

Hi all, happy Thursday :]

Scheduled post today, as I'm at work. I must have done these nails about a month back now, and this was my first time stamping with a holographic polish - which was an experience, as it would dry so so quickly!
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colour: Essence - Choose Me!
Stamp Colour: Gosh - Holographic Hero
Image Plate: Dashica Big SpD-A
Top Coat: Rimmel 60 Seconds - Clear
And here are two swatch photos. This polish was extremely hard for me to photograph, so shiny, and sparkly, and not the best lighting in the world. This is three thin coats, that didn't fully cover my nail line, but as I was stamping I wasn't too bothered.

Hope you're all having a good Thursday :]

Gosh Holographic Hero & Black Flowery Snowflakes Using Bundle Monster

Hi all! Happy Thursday!

Today we have swatches, and stamping.  Gosh - Holographic Hero Is my favourite holo polish that I own. It's stunning, bright, it dries well, there's not really a problem with application, the wear isn't that bad at all, and I think out of all the holographic polishes I own (five or six) it has the the most impact.

I spent weeks stalking Superdrug, both in my town centre, and in the city centre, and I'd almost given up, when I came across a bottle in my local store! yay! Since this time (the back end of September) I've worn it three more times after swatching, I love it that much.
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Gosh - Holographic Hero
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Bundle Monster - BM 323
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

And here's some swatch shots, taken in various lighting, I must have taken about 100 photos :P

Sunny daylight, but not direct light

The next two shots are in direct sunlight. So pretty!

Hope you're all having a good Thursday! :]

Halloween - We Stamp On Sundays

Hi all! Things may be a little quiet on the blog front in the coming weeks. I have quite a bit on my mind at the minute, and quite a bit of change coming up; and I'm finding it hard to stay focused on pretty much anything.

This weeks' challenge for Adventures In Stamping was Halloween! Now when I started painting my nails for these I didn't really have a plan, and this is why they turned out so pants in the end lol. I should have left them with just the barbed wire.
Pumpkin: Konad M13
Konad Special White, Essie - Orange You Glad
I used white first, scraped; added orange over the white, scraped and stamped
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: Gosh - Holographic Hero
Rimmel - Celebrity Bash
Rimmel - Black Satin
Stamp Colour: Miss Sporty - Electric Beige
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM323
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails

Here's the sponged base.

So hopefully I'll have the giveaway up tomorrow, so there's one good thing to tell yous :]

Leopard Print, Crosses, Gradients & Studs

Hi all, happy Thursday! I'm one follower away from 501, and my next giveaway ( I started following myself recently) yay!

Today we have some nails that I loved wearing, so so much, these made me feel a bit like a bad-ass :P

I started with a base colour of Beauty UK - Soft Grey, and created gradients on all my fingers using three other colours, Gosh - Berry Me (index), Barry M - Gold Foil (thumb & ring) and W7 - Black ( middle & pinky) I then stamped over my ring, and index nail in BYS - Black Satin using Konad M57. I added a stripe of black down my thumb, added studs, and added some crosses made of striping tape to my middle and pinky fingers.

A couple of days later I added in some dots to the stamped nails in opposite colours, which was the original plan, but I was doing these for a "night out" & I didn't want to mess them up.
What I used:
Base Coat: La Femme
Base Colours: Beauty UK - Soft Grey
                      Gosh - Berry Me
                      W7 - Black
                      Barry M - Gold Foil
Stamp Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Image Plate: Konad M57
Gold Striping Tape
Silver Round 2mm Studs
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails
Above is the added dots, and below is the thumb :]

And a picture of the sponged base for good measure, ignore the chip in the index (thank god I have a replacement CND - Stickey in my little mitts now :D)

What do you guys think of these? I'll definitely be doing this sort of mix and match again, or maybe even this design again.

Gosh - Golden Dragon Swatches & Dashica Big SpD-A Stamping

Ah! Today we have a polish I thought was pretty, but couldn't get enough of it when I was wearing it. I love polishes like this.

First up though is the stamping first glossy, and then matte. I say glossy, but the top coat was seriously thinned out and lost most of its shine :(

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Gosh Golden Dragon
Stamp Colour: Konad Special White
Image Plate: Dashica Big SpD-A
Top Coat: Models Own - 3 In 1 (that had been thinned)
Then with a coat of Rimmel Matte Finish. Glowing velvety flecks of gold. nomnom!
I loved it matte, you might not see much of a difference, but it was there for sure.

Swatches:

This is probably the photo (above) that shows the polish at it's best. Maybe I should start to include shots that are closer up for stunners like this.

I was really impressed with this polish, dry time was really good, and I love Gosh brushes as they're easy to work with. I got this in a sale display for £2.

Gosh Berry Me & Layering Different Flakies

So I didn't take any photos of this beautiful red on its own. The sun wasn't playing out, so I just decided to carry on with the plan to play with the flakies that I won from fyeahilovenails. The first two photos are of Golden Rose Scale Effect - 13, and the last two are with a coat of 03 on top. No top coat, so you can still see the texture of the flakes I'm afraid.

After I added Golden Rose Scale Effect - 03, I just felt like I had flakie Christmas nails. I loved these, and I'm a little gutted that I didn't stamp over these, maybe I will do in the future though.

Miss Sporty - 346 & Gosh - Berry Me Stamping

Today's polishes were gifted to me by way of giveaway from the lovely fyeahilovenails I don't know why I'm so behind in posting loads of manis, but I'm starting to catch up and will have more swatches and mani's on the way, including those I won in her giveaway :]
Base Coat: Nail RX - Stuck On You
Base Colour: Miss Sporty - 346
Stamping Colour: Gosh - Berry Me
Image Plate: Bundle Monster BM201
Top Coat: Models Own - 3 In 1

Not my best stamping, but I love how Gosh - Berry Me stamped sheer, so it looks purple, rather than the brilliant berry red it is. Gosh - Berry Me is now one of my favourite reds; I loove it.

And to show the beauty of this Miss Sporty polish here's a swatch shot, and a close up. I remember now this polish being an absolute pain in the arse to photograph, it was showing up as blue, and although it looks more like turquoise here, in real life it's a little more teal like.

There's some weird shadows going on here because of the rain on the window.
Look at all that silver shimmery goodness!

I hope everyone's having a good Wednesday!
