Nude Gold & Red Half Moons, With New Dotting Tools

My dotting tools from eBay arrived the other day; and as I only had a little time to do my nails so I figured a half moon Mani with some dots along the line would be a good idea. Especially as I'd already got a dry base colour from the night before.

When I picked up this colour from No7 it was when the £5 off voucher was going around, and it was a toss up between a similar colour, but So Simple seemed more opaque.

Honestly, I'm not a massive fan of this shade of nude on me, and I wonder when I'll find my "mannequin hands" shade. It looks okay as the half moon, but to cover the full nail it's pretty pants.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colours: No7 - So Simple
                     Barry M - Raspberry
Gold: Citadel - Shining Gold (Warhammer Paint)
Top Coat: China Glaze Top Coat

Dotting Tools, Large, Medium Small & Tiiiny (I used the blue, and yellow one from my pack)

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour - No7 - So Simple (3 coats)

Without all the gold.

When I got these I thought the largest end would be much larger (not that it needs to be) and that I'd have more of a range in sizes. But looking closely at the pic of all the sizes below, I do have quite a range. These were such a bargain too, costing me £1.06 and free postage, if anyone would like a linky link. let me know :]
And another pic of the end result :]

I have such a hard time photographing this polish, the last photo does it the better justice, but you really notice the colour shift in it more obviously in real life.

Voodoo Violet & Evening Seduction Funky French.

Just a quick post today, as there's not much to say about these :P If you want to see the original swatch click here the polish looks a lot prettier, and how it looks in the bottle is how it looks in real life.

I've came to the conclusion after this mani that I dont really like Funky Frenches when my nails are this long, or just the tip being so big, however I like the colour combo. In real life the purple of Evening Seduction is a lot more obvious.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: BYS - Voodoo Violet
Tip: China Glaze - Evening Seduction

Gold, Chunky Glitter & Black Crackle

So it must been about a year since I bought this mixed glitter, and I had forgotten all about it. At the time I did swatch it, and decided it was too goopy, and smelly to really bother with. Also the glitter's curved and it's beyond annoying¬_¬

Anyhooo I recently found it again and decided to give it a go with a crackle. Unfortunately the gold had leaked from the gold glitter turning them silver, and the clear into murky brown. It's rank. But it didn't look so bad on :]

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Coat: Miss Sporty - Gold Back Stage
Glitter: Xtras - Mix Gold
Crackle: Barry M - Instant Nail Effects
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat

Please excuse the tip wear and nail growth, this was after a couple of days wear, I was just waiting for the sun to come back out xD

Swatch - Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Bongo Beat

I bought this polish probably back in June, and just wasn't really feeling turquoise until recently. The formula on this beauty is great compared to the goop of Mint Mojo, It's much thinner (you can slightly see my nail line) but it dries so quickly it doesn't really matter. For these pics I managed to get some dust, or cotton wool fluff stuck in between layers, so ignore that. Down side of this polish is that there are quite a lot of visible brush strokes, but that honestly could just be my sloppy appliction. In a way the brightness, and shininess of this makes it almost appear like a chrome, so i'm looking forward to stamping over this at some point :] Or using it for sponging some gradient tips, that could be pretty.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: - Collection 2000 Hot Looks - Bongo Beat (3 thin coats)
See what I mean about the stuff I got stuck in it :(
I honestly could have gotten away with only two coats, but I think I have a ridge or bump where my nails grow past the nail bed, so I did three in attempt to disguise that, as this polish clings to flaws in the nails. Such a great colour though! And pics are without cleanup :]

Barry M Bright Purple & NYC Foil'er Up With Bundle Monster :]

First time trying this polish out, Scott bought me it a month ago, and I didn't remember about it until I went to go find the goodies for my giveaway. It's such a nice colour, and as always, Barry M's formula's spot on. First time with this image too, and I quite like it but I think I should of added some gems too.

Models Own Lilac Dream Stamped With ChG Evening Seduction

After steph's nails I wanted to wear studs too xD These were meant to be silver studs, but in the crappy lighting in my room these gold studs looked silver. I love wearing this stamp though :]

Steph's Nude & Gold Studded Nails

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Models Own - Nude Beige
Gold Studs
This is pre top coat, but I loved this combination so much, and I think Steph did too xD

Just a quick post today, I think I'm going to try and add some pages to my blog, or sort all my labels out, that massive list is doing my head in ¬_¬ I think I want some drop down boxes to sort via colour, or finish etc. Hmmm..

Stripey

Ahh; so these aren't the most refined stripes I've ever done, but the were fun to wear, although after a day I added some more colour over half of the white on the pinky finger. Not massively impressed with the outcome, but I got to use the glow in the dark polish I got just before Halloween so I was a happy bunny. I only have a really crappy bottle shot of the bottle in the dark though rather than my nails :(

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: La Femme - Dusky Pink (made my own name up for it :P)
Black & White Acrylic Paint
Deborah - Sunset Cocktail
Rubies - Glow In The Dark Nail Polish
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
Just because I love this blue toned pink. Nom
You can sort of see a stripe of the glow in the dark where my pinky is at the top right corner of the bottle. But I couldn't get a good shot of my nails cause I had to close the curtains and squish into a cupboard to get it dark enough to glow xD

Just A Quick Comparison - Barry M - Dusky Mauve & Essence - Love, Peace And Purple

I recieved Essence - Love, Peace And Purple in the giveaway I won in September, and I have been meaning to do a comparison between these two since I got it.

Barry M - Dusky Mauve holds a very special place in my heart, I picked it up by accident while hunting for Mushroom, and because it was around the time I first started seriously following blogs for new swatches and stamping ideas. Also for how awesome the shimmer is. The first time I wore it, all my colleauges complimented me on it. I just love the combination of that murky cool colour with the violet shimmer. Lustttt; even now after a year or so.
Base Coat & Two Coats Of Colour
Index: Barry M - Dusky Mauve
Middle: Essence - Love, Peace And Purple
Ring: Barry M - Dusky Mauve
Pinky: Essence - Love Peace And Purple
I'm not sure about the lighting on this but you can see that there's a slight difference in the base colour but IRL you can not tell any sort of difference. Maybe it's just my monitor

Purple Pebbles Models Own Lilac Dream & Magenta Pearl Stamping

I've been going through the mani's that I did last week (though I haven't posted them) and I seem to be loving purple :P Models Own - Lilac Dream is the base colour, and it's a colour I bought a few months back for the giveaway, but when I hit 50 followers I went to take photos, and the neck on the bottle was broken ;( so I cleaned out my old top coat bottle and tried to save it. I'm glad I did although I haven't compared this to Barry M - Berry Ice Cream but I think Lilac Dream has a tad warmer tone.

Another Jelly Sandwich

Just a quick post today, I feel like I've been lagging with the mani's recently because the weather's so pap outside, and I'm having a hard time being motivated about anything at all :/ But hopefully I'll be back on track with my nails asap.

Two coats of Deborah Turquoise Fever
One coat of a glitter mixture
One coat of Matalan G - Plum over it all :]
I kind of feel like I should have put an extra coat of Plum over.

Steph's Vegas Inspired Nails

I did these a few weeks ago, inspired by a photo I seen on google while I was looking for vegas themed nails and stuff, but now I can't find the image ;(

I'm still not really gettting any better and taking photos of other peoples nails, but I think I have some ideas for the next time I do her nails.

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: Sally Hansen - White On
I then placed small strips of tape, and painted over them with BYS - Black Satin
For rounding off corners and lettering I used Red & Black acyrilic paint
The little red gem was from a Broadway pack of gems my friend Vicki got me :]
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: BYS - Black Satin
Nail Studs: 2mm Silver Nail Heads
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
I apparently can't draw clubs for the life of me :P Happy Bonfire/Guy Fawkes Night!

Brown And Gold Peacock

I think I'm starting to wear more Autumn colours now as it's definitely getting colour, and the biggest tree in my garden is almost naked! Although I'm not sure how long I will stay away from bright summer colours, cause I love eye catching nails, but we shall seeee.

I've never been a brown person, though it's growing on me; and back when I was 15-16 would never have even considered wearing it on my nails, never mind clothing. I'm not sure if it's because my taste's changed as i've gotten older, or just becasue I love polish that much and want to try everything out, and then there's trends to consider too. I don't know! Anyhoo, onto the nails ^_^

Base Coat: CND - Stickey
Base Colour: W7- Suede
Stamp Colour: Miss Sporty - Electric Beige
Plate: Bundle Monster 212
Dots: Miss Sporty - Gold Backtage
Top Coat: China Glaze - No Chip Top Coat
And just for good measure a picture of one of my kitties Cheese, who was not impressed with me being up at the windowsill taking up her bird watching space :P
